Application Of Product Data Management Based On Microservice Architecture In E Company

E Company is a fast-growing small and medium-sized(SMEs)chip(IC)design company.With the rapid development of the semiconductor industry,the significant challenge that the IC design company now facing is how to achieve the target of cost reduction,quality improvement within the shortened development cycle,in which the application of product data management(PDM)in E company plays a vital role.Meanwhile,the commercial PDM system,which was built on traditional monolithic architecture and composed of heterogeneous modules has many shortcomings such as high cost,tremendous size,difficult function expansion,poor performance,and large implementation impact.It is not suitable for fast-developing small and medium-sized companies with constantly changing needs.In order to improve the above problems to a great extent,the PDM system of microservice architecture establish on agile development,cloud technology,and distributed computing is introduced.This article builds the PDM system of E company based on the microservice architecture and implements the application in E company.The main research work of this article is as follows.First,the theoretical basis and application status of the PDM system is obtained by referring to relevant literature from domestic and abroad.By study,the difference between enterprise software architecture from traditional monolithic to ESB/SOA bus architecture to a microservice architecture,compare and derive the advantages and disadvantages.Also,carry out the analysis of the current PDM system for problems solve,a PDM system based on microservice architecture is preferred and proposed,the characteristics of this system and the traditional PDM system are elaborated in detail.Then,investigate the operation status of E company and the analysis of the product development process that in use,from which the problems of E company's existing product development are represented,and the requirements and system selection of the PDM system applicable to E company are drawn.After that,based on the actual needs of E company,the overall architecture of E company's PDM system is designed and the functional description of each microservice is given.Implemented in company E through a step-by-step implementation.Finally,after the implementation is completed,the application of the PDM system in E company's document management,process optimization,product structure management,and project management is described in detail.Through the comparison of the effect before and after the implementation,the effect evaluation of the PDM system in E company is obtained.After the implementation of the PDM system based on microservice architecture,E Company established a comprehensive product management platform based on data exchange,sharing,storage,and product collaborative design.The framework and construction ideas of this article provide some reference for the fast-growing small and medium-sized enterprises to implement the PDM system.
