Research On Cycle Time Improvement Strategy Of A Semiconductor Manufacturing Integrity Corporation

In this era of economic globalization,product upgrading is faster and faster,new technologies emerge in endlessly,competition is more and more fierce,and customer requirements are higher and higher.How to make products delivered to customers in a sound and fast manner and obtain as much profit as possible under the premise of ensuring quality is a very important issue for most production and manufacturing enterprises.Shortening the production cycle time can effectively and quickly respond to the changes in the market,reduce the backlog of products in process of production,and effectively reduce the pressure of production capital.The IC manufacturing line is different from the traditional production line.Its investment is huge and the production process is very complex.In addition,the profit cycle of the chip industry is becoming shorter and shorter,the shorter production cycle and the higher on-time delivery rate of orders become the important indicators of the core competitiveness of the IC manufacturing enterprises.In this thesis,A Semiconductor Manufacturing Integrated Corporation is as an example,shorten the production cycle time as the research goal based on customer requirements.Firstly,this thesis introduces the background of the topic,analyzes the current domestic and foreign environment,expounds the significance of the research on the improvement of the production cycle time of IC manufacturers,summarizes the research results of domestic and foreign literatures,and then summarizes the research framework of the thesis.Secondly,this thesis introduces the concepts,terms,production performance indicators and relevant theories related to integrated circuits,which lays a theoretical foundation for the development of the following thesis.Again,this thesis takes A integrated circuit enterprises as the research target,summarizes the technological process and production characteristics of the integrated circuit industry,and to dig deeper into the A enterprise production performance indicators in 2019,the machine load and WIP as well as the way to communicate with the client and other production problem,It is concluded that the production cycle of enterprise A is too long,the quantity of work-in-process is too much and the communication efficiency with customers is low.Finally,in order to solve these issues,this thesis put Little's Law and TOC as the basic theories,combined with product quantity,total output,the machine efficiency and on time delivery rate and other performance measurement indicators,then improvement studies have been carried out in the five aspects,such as production planning,production in process control of bottleneck machines,early warning system establishment of masks,establishment of customer online service system and production control of important projects,etc.Finally,an overall solution was found,which systematically improved the production efficiency of A IC manufacturing enterprises and effectively shortened the production cycle of products in 2020.This thesis provides a good reference for other IC enterprises to improve their production cycle time.
