With the development of semiconductor manufacturing, yields and efficiencies from wafer fabs, more attention is directed towards the ability of semiconductor back-end factories to handle the load with minimum capital expenditures. Throughput, utilization, and cycle time continue to be emphasized as key performance parameters for existing operations and for the complex planning of new facilities.Motorola(China) Electronics Ltd. XiQing Site wants to reduce the cycle time by applying a simulation model. In this article, we will show you how we approached the model step by step. This model is approved to be effective by the factory's history data.The first part of this article will introduce you the meaning of this project and some of the reference technologies. The following parts are order by the software's development procedure: requirement analysis, conceptual design, coding, testing and deployment. In this article, we emphasize applying the technology of Enterprise JavaBeans, a kind of component-based development technology on J2EE platform. Some examples are also given there.
