Analysis On The Current Situation And Development Strategies Of The Publication Of Supplementary Educational Books For Overseas English Examination

Since the reform and opening up,China has continued to promote and develop the international education.We advocate learning the advantages of other countries,with the encouragement and support of studying abroad.Under the background of policy support and rapid economic development,the training mode and demand of talents in China are becoming more and more complex.Studying in other countries has established a mature educational paradigm,which has become the natural driving force of studying abroad.Therefore,overseas English examinations emerged,which has become one of the main ways to select foreign talents in those countries where English is the mother tongue or the class instruction is entirely in English.As a result,various supplementary educational books published and their subcategories are increasing,and the number of publications and subcategories has shown an overall increase,quickly occupying the publishing market in recent years.Based on the theoretical knowledge of publishing,this paper also uses the multi-dimensional theoretical research of pedagogy,communication and marketing.Additionally,this paper makes a comprehensive study of the relevant references about the current situation of supplementary educational books at home and abroad,focusing on the analysis of the publication of TOEFL supplementary educational books.Moreover,combining with the scientific research methods such as documentation method,statistical analysis and qualitative analysis,this paper selects and collates the official data from ii Media,CNKI,i Research,Open Book and other websites and databases,and makes statistics combined with the relevant data of Dangdang.In addition,this paper systematically analyzes the number of TOEFL supplementary educational books published from 2011 to 2020,and makes a comprehensive analysis of its topic selection,classification,author type,press,price,sales volume,comments and digitalization.Meanwhile,it summarizes the advantages of TOEFL supplementary educational books and the existing problems,including quality problems,talent intake problems,binding design problems,value-added problems,marketing problems and brand problems.Combined with the above problems,this paper tries to put forward some suggestions for the development of supplementary educational books for overseas English examinations.For example,integrating the characteristics of the Internet era,the quality and efficiency of automatic proofreading and translation will be improved.What is more,some feasible measures are put forward to try to achieve product's form value-added and service value-added.And adhering to the idea of long-term intensive development,this paper puts forward some strategies for derivative value-added.Hope to bring new ideas and some inspiration for the publication of supplementary educational books for overseas English examination.
