Research On The Participation Of Independent Bookstores In The Supply Of Public Cultural Services

With the rapid development of economy and the steady improvement of social civilization,people began to seek high-quality supply of public cultural services.Our government also attaches great importance to the construction of public cultural service system,and strives to provide high-quality public cultural services for the people.However,it faces huge financial pressure when the public sector provides public cultural services.Due to the lack of financial funds,public cultural services can't meet people's cultural needs.The government can't supply all the public services by itself,so we need to rely on social forces to seek new forms of cooperation.In this thesis,I select the independent bookstore,which is a unique but widely distributed group of social forces,as the research object.And I discussed the supply mode,advantages and disadvantages of independent bookstore's participation in public cultural services,and analyzed how to improve its supply capacity of public cultural services while ensuring the sustainable development of independent bookstore,by means of questionnaire survey and empirical research.First of all,on the basis of combing the relevant literature,this thesis gives the basic concept definition of independent bookstores,that is,private entity bookstores who are not dependent on government organizations,can own their own profits and losses,and have their own cultural pursuit and actively participate in the construction of urban culture.On this basis,through on-the-spot investigation and literature collation,I selected a number of typical cases,classified the existing independent bookstores in China,and conducted case study and questionnaire survey on their development status.On one side,by using the theoretical model of customer satisfaction,this thesis systematically analyzes the survey results of independent bookstores,extracts the supply mode of independent bookstores participating in public cultural services.On the other side,this thesis analysis the competitive of independent bookstores,summarizes its advantages and disadvantages,by the SWOT analysis matrix.At the same time,by comparing with the development models of successful independent bookstores,such as Japan,Britain and the United States,I summarized the sustainable development model of independent bookstores.Finally,combined with the development status of independent bookstores in China,from the dimensions of government policy support,social organizations' active cooperation and independent bookstores' own strengthening innovation and development,this thesis puts forward countermeasures for independent bookstores to participate in the improvement of the supply mode of public cultural services,so as to better operate and develop independent bookstores,better participate in public cultural services,and serve as the social force of public cultural services.
