A Study Of "5G" Discourse In Micro-blog

At present,China is committed to the construction of a powerful country in science and technology and an innovative country,and is deeply implementing the innovation driven development strategy.5G is considered as the core keyword of the new round of scientific and technological revolution,and has also been raised to the height of national strategy.At the press conference of the national development and Reform Commission on April 20,2019,the country defined the scope of "new infrastructure" for the first time,in which the information infrastructure including 5G mobile communication technology is the top priority of the national "new infrastructure" construction.In March2020,the new infrastructure construction was written into the government work report for the first time.Therefore,the evolution of 5G has become the focus of media coverage and public attention.Based on this,this paper starts from the reality of 5G media discourse.On the one hand,it selects the media discourse about 5G reported by the media in micro-blog,and takes may 2018 to October 2020 as the sample interval.Relying on the discourse analysis theory and social network analysis method,it makes a dual qualitative and quantitative analysis of the selected samples,and discusses that they are in the process of 5G technological change,How to describe,narrate and construct 5G through the media discourse represented by the media reports on 5G;On the other hand,micro-blog is used as a platform to analyze the media discourse of different subjects and the value connotation reflected behind it,so as to make contributions to accelerate the construction of 5G information infrastructure in China from the perspective of communication.The results show that,firstly,the media discourse represented by the media reports on 5G in micro-blog is dominated by the mainstream media reports on the macro level,and fluctuates around the important nodes of China's 5G development;Most of the reports are in the form of combination of pictures and texts,and live broadcast,a report form with the characteristics of the times,is added;The theme of the report is diverse and mostly positive incentive.Secondly,the media discourse of 5G reports has certain logic characteristics from 5G technology to 5G application in micro word frequency analysis,and presents "core edge" structure in the whole semantic network.Thirdly,starting from the content attributes of news reports,combined with the sample content of media reports on 5G,this paper analyzes and summarizes seven types of media discourse in micro-blog media reports on 5G;Finally,based on the communication characteristics of micro-blog,this paper analyzes the different roles of different speakers in 5G information communication,as well as the three-dimensional circular communication characteristics of 5G media discourse in micro-blog.In short,from the perspective of national development,although 5G is a science and technology issue,in the surface narrative of 5G media discourse,it actually implies the power game between developed countries and developing countries represented by China.What we need to see is that the media links all aspects of people's life,such as economy,politics and society,through 5G,so as to gather the collective memory of the public for 5G,so as to make contributions to 5G's wider recognition and positive response at home,and to "go far" to obtain more markets.
