The Study On The Situation Analysis And Development Strategy Of The Provincial Public Library Micro-blog Service In China

With the rapid development of computer technology and mobile communication networks, as a new platform of social networking and information exchanging, micro-blog is becoming an important tool which people use to access and disseminate information in today’s society. Because of its simple, fast, easy to use and other characteristics, micro-blog gradually increasing number of administrative departments, institutions, companies and other industries and individuals concerned. Our provincial public libraries are also beginning to use microblogging platform to carry out information services. The application of micro-blog gives an impact to the traditional information services of the public library, at the same time, it also gives more challenges and opportunities for the public library information services under the Information Society. Public library uses micro-blog to start information service, innovates the traditional model of library information service, riches content of library information services, expands range of library information services, then promotes the comprehensive development of public library services.This research takes our provincial public library micro-blog service as the survey object, from two aspects of service platform and service cases to analysis micro-blog services of our provincial public library. Summarizes the current situation and the main problems of the provincial public library micro-blog service development, thus discusses the specific strategies to promote the development of our provincial public library micro-blog service.This article is divided into six parts, to discuss our provincial public library micro-blog service and the development strategies.The first part:introduction part, It mainly introduces the background information the purpose and significance of choosing the topic, and summarizes the current research situation at home and abroad about the micro-blog service, on this basis, I come to the creation of the research.The second part:this chapter describes the theory of the library micro-blog. First, summarizes the concept and meaning of micro-blog. Secondly, generalizes the seven characteristics of the micro-blog spreading:respectively, integration, equality, convenience, timeliness, interactivity, fragmentation and aggregation. then parses each propagation characteristics of micro-blog. At last, discussed the current type of library micro-blog information services including bibliography recommended, announcement, reference service, promotional activities and interact with five.The third part:the main body of the article, it takes our provincial public library micro-blog service as the survey object, statistics data of 28 provincial public library micro-blog service platform, from the three aspects of the basic situation, service application, service content to analysis micro-blog services of our provincial public library. First, collect statistics data of micro-blog name and certification status, avatar and background of micro-blog and micro-blog briefings of public library. Analysis the components of name of the 28 provincial public libraries micro-blogs, proportion of the public library micro-blog certification, characteristics of public libraries micro-blog avatar and background and the content that public libraries micro-blog profile reflects. Next, select public library micro-blog age, the total number, daily average number, and the number of persons concerned and fans five aspects of the provincial public library to discuss the application of micro-blog service platform. Considered the relationship with public library micro-blog age, the total number, daily average number, and the number of persons concerned and fans.The fourth part:also the main body of the article. Statistics data of 28 provincial public library micro-blog service, then summarizes our provincial public library micro-blog services from seven aspects:notice bulletin board services, resource referral services, activities, information services, book recommendation service, information sharing, readers interactive services and special content services, and with the relevant public libraries practical cases to be analyzed, the survey data would be more accurate and detailed.The fifth part:summarizes the existing problems of provincial public library micro-blog service. Through the investigation of service platform and service cases to analysis micro-blog services of our provincial public library, obtained the following problems of the provincial public library micro-blog service:micro-blog name is not standardized, officially certified should be strengthening; a big gap between the number of micro-blogs, the update of micro-blog information is not in time; micro-blog service monotony and publishing topic disorderly; less interaction of micro-blog, difficult to increase the number of fans; low micro-blog source attention, narrow range of information sharing.The sixth part:puts forward the development strategy based on the fifth part of the provincial public library micro-blog service problems. Pay attention to the official certification, micro-blog naming should be normalization; accelerate update rate of micro-blog, improve the quantity and quality of the micro-blog; expand the content of micro-blog service, unified standard of micro-blog topic type; improve micro-blog interactive way to attract attention and interest of micro-blog fans; increased micro-blog peer’s attention, establish micro-blog information sharing alliance.
