As a cultural product,variety shows should be rooted in the specific culture given by The Times and become one of the main forms of communication.Chinese traditional culture has a long history,it is an important cultural symbol to build cultural confidence and show the national image.Nowadays,the development of the Internet has reached a higher stage,creating a new communication environment for the development of traditional culture.Traditional culture is taking advantage of digital technology to spread in the new era.With the increase of the "heat" of traditional culture and the promotion of the Internet,the spread of traditional culture has indeed made some progress,but it must be admitted that the spread of traditional culture is still in the primary stage to some extent.At present,many variety shows derive their inspiration from traditional culture,and entertainment programs appear in response to people's entertainment needs.Among them,reality shows are favored by the majority of audiences.With the continuous intensification of the entertainment forms of the global mass media,the reality shows in China have the problems of excessive entertainment,the flood of homogenized programs and the low style of the programs.China's reality shows can absorb traditional cultural elements through entertainment communication,which can not only improve program innovation ability and program cultural quality,but also make use of the extensive influence of reality shows to spread excellent traditional culture,which has high realistic significance and times value.This paper focuses on the popular reality TV programs in China in recent years.In the introduction part,the author tries to find out the inner meaning of the reality show by defining the research ideas and methods and combining the existing literature.The first chapter elaborates the development of reality TV and how the traditional culture,as an innovative element,plays a driving role in the development of reality TV.The second chapter focuses on the analysis of how to combine reality show with traditional culture,summarizes three aspects: one is the topic of the program,two is the program content,three is the program audio-visual symbols.The third chapter analyzes the current situation of the traditional culture communication in the reality show,including the diversified communication pattern of the traditional culture in the reality show,as well as the constraining factor in the contemporary social communication.The fourth chapter discusses the traditional culture communication strategy in the reality show,from the text content,communication channels,audience angle and so on.The fifth chapter analyzes the realistic significance of reality TV program to the dissemination of traditional culture.
