This thesis seeks to examine the image of China in the media of Afghanistan.The media and public relations play a key role in representing the image of a country and,it has a significant social role in cross-cultural and,international relationships.In a highly globalized world governments are responsible to give a great unique image of a country to other Nations and,countries.The theoretical framework of the study is framing analysis.Framing analysis theory has the capacity of reviling how people think about an issue.And,the methodology of the study is content analysis,despite its Name that has the capacity of understanding the hidden part of messages,this research has been done.The study subjects are the two mainstream media of Afghanistan.Regarding the long-term friendly Sino-Afghan relationship and,the increasing role of China in the world and,its consequences in Afghanistan the news stories from two mainstream media of Afghanistan have been collected for the second half of 2020 years.The results show that the media of Afghanistan portrayed the image of China as controversial.Most framing belongs to political news and,the Afghan media is under the influence of western global media in representing China's image.The political news stories are comparative.The economic and,technological news stories are the most positive and,interesting and the ideological news stories are the most negative and,sensitive ones.The finding demonstrates that the two mainstream media frame the image of China negatively.Both media are under the influence of the western and,Indian media.The TOLOTV news framing is more negative rather than the 8am newspaper.Conflict,freshness,unexpectedness and,proximity were the most news values in the process of news selecting about Chinese-related issues.Finally;some suggestions have been brought to having a better image of China in the Afghan media and,changing the status Que.
