Integrated circuits are the cornerstone of the development and progress of modern science and technology.On the one hand,integrated circuits are the foundation and primary driving force of the information industry and digital industry,and their technological upgrading will drive the development and progress of the entire information industry.On the other hand,integrated circuits,as the core components of emerging technology industries such as big data,artificial intelligence,and the Internet of Things,have become an important strategic element for countries to seize development opportunities in international competition.After years of development,my country's integrated circuit industry has ranked among the top in the world in terms of production and sales.However,due to low R&D investment,low technical level,and irrational industrial structure,it has always been at the low end of the global value chain.The improvement of total factor productivity can effectively enhance the status of the industry value chain.Therefore,under the background of the "14th Five-Year Plan" strategy,studying the total factor productivity of my country's integrated circuit industry and its influencing factors will help promote the upgrade of the integrated circuit industry and increase industrial competition.force.This article focuses on the total factor productivity and influencing factors of China's integrated circuit industry.First,explain the research background,explain the purpose and significance of the research.Secondly,sort out the related literature review and theoretical basis.Subsequently,it analyzes the status quo of the integrated circuit industry from the overall and upstream,midstream,and downstream segments,and uses the DEA-Malmquist model to measure the total factor productivity of the integrated circuit industry and upstream,midstream,and downstream segments.It is found that: First,my country's integrated circuits The industrial total factor productivity is low,which is mainly caused by the low total factor productivity of my country's integrated circuit design industry;second,the total factor productivity difference between the upstream,middle and downstream segments of my country's integrated circuit industry is relatively large,and the downstream packaging and testing industry is completely different.Factor productivity is the highest,followed by the upstream design industry,and the midstream manufacturing industry is the lowest.Third,the change in total factor productivity of my country's integrated circuit design industry and midstream manufacturing industry is mainly determined by technological change(Techch),while the change in total factor productivity of the downstream packaging and testing industry is mainly determined by the efficiency of technological change(Effch).Then this article further analyzes the factors that have an important impact on the total factor productivity of my country's integrated circuit industry,and uses the total factor productivity of the integrated circuit industry as the explained variable and external factors(market demand,related and supporting industries,government subsidies,market structure)A measurement model with internal factors(employee structure,operating capabilities,R&D investment)as independent variables,and empirical analysis using OLS,SYS-GMM and DIFF-GMM.The study found that the development status of integrated circuit-related and supporting industries,market demand,government subsidies,and R&D investment have a positive effect on the total factor productivity of my country's integrated circuit industry,and the staff structure,operating capacity,and market structure have no significant impact on total factor productivity.Finally,this article puts forward relevant policy recommendations on how to improve the total factor productivity of my country's integrated circuit industry and promote industrial upgrading.
