In recent years, the total grain output has increased year by year, but the reason is that the increase in total grain output is mainly due to the substantial increase in corn output, there are still hidden dangers in China's food security. The growth brought by the input of chemical fertilizers, machinery and other factors is limited,so we must pay more attention to the growth of the total factor productivity of grain and promote the sustainable development of grain production.China's agriculture is dominated by small-scale operations, but with the emergence of the contradiction between small-scale and large-scale production, the government actively guides farmers to scale production, and new types of large-scale production forms such as family farms and rural cooperatives emerge. However, many scholars have found that there is a negative relationship between scale and agricultural efficiency, and scale does not necessarily bring about an increase in production efficiency. Therefore, the article attempts to study the total grain productivity of farmers and their influencing factors from different scales perspectives,in order to explore the differences in the total factor productivity of grain of different scales of farmers and the growth path, improve the food production capacity, and ensure national food security.Based on the farmer's behavior theory, resource endowment theory and induced technology change theory,To study the total factor productivity of farmers' grain and its influencing factors from different scales.First, describe the typical facts of grain production based on data from fixed observation points in rural areas across the country.Secondly, based on data mining methods to study the characteristics of farmers of different sizes, and based on cluster analysis methods, scientifically divide the scale of grain farmers.Based on the decision tree method, the typical characteristics of farmers of different sizes are obtained. Then, first use the stochastic frontier production function to measure the total factor productivity, and analyze the changing characteristics of the total factor productivity of farmers' food production of different scales; Then, based on the fixed-effect model, the influencing factors of total factor productivity of grain are studied, and the influencing factors of total factor productivity of grain of farmers of different sizes are analyzed. Finally, draw conclusions based on the research results and make policy recommendations. The research results show that:(1)Compared with before 2003,since 2003,the endowment of agricultural resources has been continuously improved, the ratio of people to land has been continuously improved, and the investment in machinery, irrigation, fertilizer, etc.has increased year by year.Among them, the growth rate of mechanical investment per capita is the fastest;(2)Land and chemical fertilizer have the greatest elasticity to grain output, and the change trend is completely opposite. From 2009 to 2013,biochemical technology based on chemical fertilizers showed an increasing trend in the elasticity of grain output;(3)The total food productivity of farmers is increasing, but the growth rate is decreasing year by year.Among them, technological efficiency is deteriorating at an increasing rate, and the growth of total factor productivity is mainly due to technological progress. In terms of scale, smallscale farmers have the fastest growth in total factor productivity, while large-scale farmers have the slowest growth.(4)Grain sown area has a negative effect on total factor productivity and has the greatest impact on large-scale farmers, but this negative effect gradually decreases. The improvement of economic level has the largest negative impact on small-scale farmers, and the level of industrialization has the smallest positive impact on small-scale farmers.
