At present,with the rapid development of science and technology,the changes in media technology can be said to be changing with each passing day.New information dissemination methods are equipped with emerging diversified media platforms,with convenient information acquisition channels,rich content delivery methods,and diversified discourse expressions,reshaped the old information dissemination pattern,strongly changed people's habit of obtaining information.The prosperity and development of new media,not only greatly dilutes the original audience of traditional radio and television media,but also strongly builts a new way of consumption.Traditional broadcast and television media are inevitably subject to a strong impact,and their survival and development are faced with difficulties and challenges,this is exactly the question explored in this article.This paper combines the overall situation of our country's media development,guided by strategic management theory,based on the theory of intensive development strategy and the development status of grassroots radio and television media,various research methods such as case study method,literature analysis method,interview method,and experience observation method have been adopted successively,to research and analyze the development status of traditional broadcast and television media in the context of multi-category media development and competition,and its own strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities and challenges it is faced with.On this basis,this article makes a speculative application of existing theories.It proposes that urban radio and television stations should adopt an intensive development strategy.On the basis of making good use of the news and publicity functions of radio and television stations,carry out strategic reforms in market penetration,product development and market development.Take Ulanqab Radio and TV Station as an example,propose to make local characteristic culture as the focal point of innovation and upgrading,do a good job in product innovation and audience market penetration,put forward some countermeasures and suggestions for traditional radio and television stations in terms of product innovation and development,market development strategies,etc.At the same time,it proposes safeguard measures for the implementation of the strategy to connect strategy and practice effectively,and make some useful exlporations on cultivating the core competitiveness of urban traditional radio and television stations,consolidating the sustainable profitability of urban traditional radio and television stations.
