As the concepts of artificial intelligence and smart cities become more and more popular in China,smart homes are gradually coming into view.Smart home is based on the house,advanced science and technology,to provide users with a more comfortable,safe and convenient home living environme.While smart homes provide diversified services to users and create a good home experience,they also gradually show some problems.Based on the related theories of ecology and design ecology and the current status of the development of smart homes in China,this paper proposes the relevant concepts of a balanced smart home design ecosystem,and studies the imbalance existing in the smart home design ecosystem at the current stage,finally proposes to construct a balanced ecosystem approach to smart home design.The article first constructs the smart home design ecosystem at this stage,and analyzes the composition and functions of the smart home design ecosystem at this stage.Secondly,based on the relevant theories of ecological balance and design ecological balance,the definition,characteristics and balance mechanism of a balanced smart home design ecosystem are proposed.It also analyzes the imbalance existing in the smart home design ecosystem,and specifically analyzes the imbalance of design elements(low diversity of design species,incompatible design species,weak intelligence of the design system),and imbalance of user elements(design service object alienation,ignorance of user cultural attributes,uncoordinated supply and demand,user information leakage),imbalances of environmental elemnets(excessive design species evolution,increased design pollutants,and excessive design consumption).Guided by the related concepts of a balanced smart home design ecosystem,combined with the imbalances in the smart home design ecosystem summarized above,a method for building a balanced smart home design ecosystem is proposed.It mainly includes scenario-centric smart home product development strategies(multi-dimensional mining scenarios,designing smart products based on scenarios,and rich product support systems),brand-centric home design ecological community building(unified network protocols,entry-level product integration,Multi-brand product collaboration),the enhancement of the home design ecosystem's capabilities with intelligence as the core(activation of demand information acquisition methods,the establishment of a dynamic home database,the use of big data for comprehensive decision-making,and the creation of a multi-service information flow model),and with the goal of environmental friendliness smart home ecosystem development model(enhancing product scalability,reducing product pollution sources,and linking scenarios to reduce energy consumption).Finally,the method of constructing a balanced smart home design ecosystem proposed in the article is applied to the smart home product design practice,and the theory and design practice are combined to verify its feasibility.This article studies smart homes from the perspective of design ecology.The purpose is to explore the future development trend of smart homes,and to use the relevant design methods obtained from the analysis to guide the future smart home design practices,create new smart home experiences for users,and provide smart homes industry with new directions.
