Research On Miao Quansun's Yifeng Cangshuji

As a well-known educator,political activist,bibliophile,and founder of the modern library business in China,he has a position that cannot be ignored in the traditional Chinese academic history.It is also in collation,bibliography,history,local chronicles,epigraphy,etc.Many fields reflect his profound academic thinking.His book Hongfu,and "Library of Yifeng",as his first private collection catalog,also reflects Miao Quansun's unique insights on collection,cataloging,and cultural dissemination.This article introduces Miao Quansun's life experience and contributions,and then examines the innovation and value of "Library of Yifeng",and provides some reference for future scholars to conduct more in-depth research on his books.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the full text is divided into three main parts.The first part is the basic situation of "Library of Yifeng".This article is based on Huang Ming and Yang Tongfu's " Library of Yifeng " punctuated with the engraved edition of Gengzi as the base copy(it is also attached with "Yifeng Cangshu Continued Notes" and "Yifeng Cangshu Renewal Notes")Since Miao was born in the turbulent era of the late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China,after he witnessed the acquisition of Beisong Building,he realized that compared with the preservation of ancient books,the method of "removal of books and records" was more suitable for the requirements of the time.So he catalogued the rare books collected by himself,bought,gifted,self-carved,etc.,and improved on the basis of the "twelve division method" of "The Bibliography of Sun's Ancestral Hall",and adopted the "tenth method" method to make the classification more reasonable.The principle of collecting books is to change the ethos of advocating Song editions and pay more attention to the quality of editions.The second part is the description of "Library of Yifeng".For Miao,the purpose of the collection is not simply to include the ancient books in the bag,but from a practical point of view,comparisons and judgments will be made between different editions of the same book;in the process of appraisal,he combined the heart of the book,Common methods such as paper and taboo further determine the pros and cons of the version.The book contains the prefaces and postscripts of famous bibliophiles represented by Huang Pilie and Sun Xingyan,which not only reflects Miao's respect and admiration for these famous authors,but also shows the precision of his own collection of books.Miao carefully compared and selected the original copy,and complemented with the meticulous and rigorous collation work,and finally wrote this philology work.The third part of the documentary value of "Yifengcang Secretary" mainly analyzes the achievements and value embodied in this book from the perspectives of edition,bibliography,and collection,and reveals Miao Quansun's contribution to the development of philology contribution.Through this work,we can not only understand the characteristics of Miao Quansun's own collection of books and his innovations in cataloguing,but also realize the zeal of literati for the protection of ancient books under the change of times from the late Qing to the Republic of China.
