A Study On The Sacrificial Ceremony Of Shangqiu God Of Fire Belief From The Perspective Of Communication Ceremony

The God of fire is one of the most important folk natural gods.The belief of God of fire and related sacrificial rites derived from it are widely distributed in China.Different regions have different forms of belief and sacrificial rites due to the differences of geographical environment,social culture and other factors.Among them,the God of fire belief and sacrificial rites in Shangqiu,located in the east of Henan Province,are recognized by the local and surrounding people and government departments because of its long history,complete sacrificial rites and cultural connotation.As a vivid display of local folk culture,Shangqiu fire god worship ceremony can be regarded as a realistic way to understand local social culture with regional characteristics,which has important research value.Based on the theory of communication ceremony,this paper takes the sacrificial rites of God of fire belief in Shangqiu as the research object,and studies the sacrificial rites of God of fire belief as a social and cultural communication phenomenon by means of field investigation and case study.The author first combs the historical development of Shangqiu Fire God belief and sacrificial ceremony.Based on the analysis of the space-time field of the sacrificial ceremony,the time selection of the sacrificial ceremony presents two characteristics of festival and daily life;the space of the sacrificial ceremony is composed of small space with different characteristics,centered on the huoshentai,under the overall cultural space of the four provinces of Henan,Shandong,Jiangsu and Anhui;secondly,the participation role of the sacrificial ceremony presents diversified characteristics,and people participate in the ceremony Then,it interprets the cultural symbol system and its symbolic meaning constructed by a series of image symbols and behavior symbols in the sacrificial ceremony;Shangqiu Fire God belief sacrificial ceremony,as a local folk belief ritual activity,is based on local culture With the development of the times,the form of its ritual activities is also changing,showing the characteristics of entertaining gods and people,and a variety of needs interweaved.Its function is constantly injected with new connotation in practical life,which contains the role of local maintenance,emotional aggregation,public behavior norms and other aspects.The sacrificial ceremony of the fire God belief in Shangqiu is the reflection of the local "small history" and "small tradition".The research on it will help us to observe the impact of the local religious ceremony on the local people and society,and to observe the historical development and social changes behind it.This local folk belief ceremony is placed in the macro context of the state to guide its inheritance and development in a more reasonable way.
