With the development of microwave communication,the low frequency band has been unable to meet the communication needs,and the microwave communication technology of the high frequency band has been developed.However,as the frequency increases,the transmission distance of microwaves is getting smaller and smaller,and with the popularity of various array antennas,the power demand for the transmitting end filter is also getting higher and higher.Therefore,microwave filters that can work in multiple frequency bands and high power have become important components in high-frequency microwave communication systems.The photonic crystal based on the microwave band also has a band gap effect.In this paper,the photonic crystal is introduced into the waveguide capable of transmitting high-power microwaves to form a photonic crystal waveguide filter.The high frequency electromagnetic simulation software High Frequency Structure Simulator(HFSS)is used for modeling and simulation to study the influence of the photonic crystal unit on the filtering performance of the photonic crystal waveguide filter.The main work is as follows:(1)Comprehensive analysis of the relevant theories and characteristics of microwave filters,photonic crystals,and waveguides.(2)The one-dimensional photonic crystal structure is introduced into the rectangular waveguide to form a rectangular waveguide dual bandpass filter between3 GHz and 6GHz;Use HFSS for modeling and simulation calculations,focusing on the impact of the size,arrangement,and introduced defects of the one-dimensional photonic crystal unit on the filtering performance of the rectangular waveguide filter;As an extension,the influence of the arrangement of one-dimensional photonic crystals on the filtering characteristics of single-ridge waveguide filters is studied.(3)The two-dimensional photonic crystal structure is introduced into the rectangular waveguide,and HFSS is used for modeling and simulation calculation,The focus is on the influence of the geometrical size,arrangement,and defects of cylindrical,square cylindrical,and hexagonal prisms on the bandpass and bandstop characteristics of the two-dimensional photonic crystal rectangular waveguide filter;As an extension,the filter characteristics of circular waveguides and single-ridge waveguides when loaded with cylindrical,square cylindrical,and hexagonal prisms are studied.(4)Introducing the three-dimensional photonic crystal structure into the rectangular waveguide,modeling,simulation,and focusing on the influence of the geometric size,arrangement,and defects of the spherical and square photonic crystal units on the filtering performance of the photonic crystal rectangular waveguide filter;As an extension,the filtering characteristics of circular waveguides when spherical and square photonic crystal units are loaded respectively are studied.
