From Presentation To Reconstruction:Multi-representation For The Visualization Of Chinese Poetry

With the broadcast of “Chinese Poetry” in 2013,Chinese cultural variety show stands out from entertainment programs,occupying a place in the television market.However,there is little research done surrounding the visualization of Chinese poetry that has appeared as early as 2002.This paper,based on the existing image texts,analyzes the expression of poetry image works.This paper classifies the existing texts according to expressions and functions.The first type is the presentation of the poem content,which is supplemented by the paraphrase,background knowledge,and image analysis.Its main function is to better promote Chinese poetry and culture.Secondly,the spirit of Chinese poetry and poets is expressed through current stories.Poetic stories of ordinary life are presented by virtue of the connection between Chinese poetry and current life.Along with the understanding and analysis from the perspective of ordinary people and the reappearance of their stories,this means of expression aims to inherit the spiritual essence of poetry and poets.Finally,the artistic conception of Chinese poetry is reconstructed through aesthetic and storytelling approaches,which is full of challenges due to the differences between texts and images.Adapted stories and sound-assisted images are adopted by existing texts,which are far from enough and require in-depth exploration.The visualization of Chinese poetry calls for more researches.Presenting the charm of poetry through visualization instead of words alone is worth exploring.
