The Design And Implementation Of Color Sorting System And Control System For Color Sorter

Classification and selection are commonly used to improve the quality of products.With the progress of human society and the increase of production demand,the traditional classification method has been difficult to meet the needs of life.Because of the advantages of high separation precision,fast speed,low cost and so on,automatic sorting equipment has gradually become a research hotspot in the field of separation.Color selector is a kind of automatic production equipment which is widely used in the field of classification.In this paper,the real time color selection machine based on color image processing is studied in the fields of grain processing,ore screening,waste plastic classification and so on.The color sorter we designed can carry out color video acquisition and real-time image processing for moving objects with particle size larger than3 mm and motion speed of 5 m / sec.According to the processing results,it sends mechanical control signals to achieve material selection.The hardware circuit of the color selection system is completed based on the CCD image sensor.It uses the field programmable gate array(FPGA)as the image processing core of the color selection system,which can complete the image acquisition with the real-time processing rate of 5Kf/s.The test results show that the circuit can finish the screening of ore,plastic,food and other materials.To further improve the screening effect,the hardware circuit based on high-speed linear CMOS sensor was designed.The system's image sampling rate and real-time processing speed are up to 70Kf/s,which supports the selection based on shape,texture screening algorithm,and has real-time image return function.Based on the industrial computer,the paper designs the human-computer interaction interface and the overall control system of the color selection machine.The human-computer interface can complete the system parameters setting,the display of the image,and the point select function of the material based on the return image.The control system completes the configuration and state monitoring of the color selection system according to the setting of the human-computer interaction interface.Also,it can complete the update of the setting parameters based on image.The human-computer interaction interface and the control system improves the intelligent screening characteristics of the color selection equipment,improves the operability and the human-computer interaction of the automation equipment.
