As a leading provider of mobile telecommunications services in Ghana,MTN Ghana Limited continues to lead the delivery of a brave new Digital World to customers making their lives much better.Among other contributing factors,such an outstanding result must have been obtained via a strong social media marketing strategy.This work sought to investigate and bring to light,what MTN Ghana limited is doing differently regarding their social media marketing that has contributed to their prominent achievement in this digital era.When emulated,our findings will help companies struggling in the area of social media marketing to obtain an improved result.We collaborated with an intern in the social media marketing department of MTN Ghana Limited to acquire insight on the strategy used by the department in conducting their social media marketing activities.We then acquired the data from the department's 2019 social media marketing outcome,simulated and analyzed the result.Our investigation brought to light the heavy dependence of MTN Ghana Limited on business analytic teams as well as Business intelligence tools like Google analytics and Microsoft Power BI to make informed decisions that drives their organic and paid social media marketing efforts.We also discovered that the optimal period for evaluating and adjusting social media marketing outcomes is on a monthly basis.From this research,we conclude that adopting the use of business analytic teams and tools to make informed decisions about the conduction of social medial marketing as well as timely evaluation and adjustment of strategy will significantly enhance the performance of a company's social media marketing result.
