The General Researches On Zheng Qiao's Tong Zhi Tu Pu Lue

In ancient China,the scholars thought a lot of text documents than charts and pictures.For this reason,most of that scattered and disappeared seriously,and it is particularly worrying that charts and pictures can be remained.The Index book is the best indication of evolution of ancient book of China.We have a basic understanding of vicissitude of charts and pictures by investigating description of it in the bibliography.At the beginning of the Southern Song Dynasty,Zheng Qiao spent his life writing Tong Zhi.As one of the Er Shi Lue,Tu Pu Lue is a historical catalogue focused on charts and pictures documents,and is also officially designated as a specialized study.The thought of Zheng Qiao about charts and pictures is all concentrate in it.This paper,taking Tong Zhi Tu Pu Lue as center,tries to summarize and analyze the theory and practice of the thought of Zheng Qiao,traces it origin and explores it influences to posterity,as well as draws the outline of the development of dynamic procedure.This article is mainly divided into the following five parts:The first part is the introduction,which aims to explain the reasons and considerations for carrying out this research,and to make a brief academic history review of the related research of Tu Pu Lue,comment on the gains and losses of the previous research results,and finally clarify the goals and methods of the research.The second part combines Chinese and foreign archaeological discoveries and historical records,traces the general background of the creation,development and evolution of pictures and words,discuss the transformation process from the primitive pictures to the charts and pictures,and formally define the concept of "Tu Pu".Then,it examines the description of the charts and pictures documents in the main bibliographies before the Southern Song Dynasty,reveals the changes in the way of handling the charts and pictures documents in the catalog before the birth of Tu Pu Lue,and the germination process of charts and pictures in the bibliography.The third part mainly analyzes the background of the time when Tu Pu Lue established the theory of charts and pictures.It is mainly discussed from the objective material conditions of the Song Dynasty and the ideological atmosphere and academic tendency of the people of the Song Dynasty.The prosperity of the charts and pictures in the Song Dynasty was also the result of the combined effect of these two internal and external factors.This has also become an important foundation for the Tu Pu Lue to formally establish the theory of charts and pictures.The fourth part deeply analyzes the theory of charts and pictures in Tu Pu Lue.Zheng Qiao first clarified the important position of charts and pictures,which became the biggest prerequisite for his thoughts.Secondly,he emphasized the classification and application of charts and pictures.Finally,he further inherited and exerted the thoughts on the disposal of charts and pictures documents by the previous bibliography and formed a comparatively.The perfect description concept,all of the above have become the proof that Zheng Qiao's theory of charts and pictures is becoming perfect.However,there are some shortcomings in Tu Pu Lue in the process of specific description of map documents,which are mainly manifested in the discrepancies between the classification standards and description principles established by Tu Pu Lue,Yi Wen Lue and Jiao Chou Lue.Through the above specific analysis,we have a clearer understanding and grasp of Zheng Qiao's theory of charts and pictures.The fifth part discusses the influence of the later generations of the thoughts of Tu Pu Lue,starting with the bibliography that is the same as the bibliography of Yi Wen Lue and Tu Pu Lue,and discusses the description of the charts and pictures documents in the bibliography of later generations.Then it discusses the extension of theory of charts and pictures in Tu Pu Lue based on genus-book,mainly analyzing the theory of charts and pictures inheritance relationships from representative ancient books,for example,Di Wang Jing Shi Tu Pu and Shi Lin Guang Ji in the Song and Yuan Dynasty,San Cai Tu Hui and Tu Shu Bian in the Ming Dynasty as well as Gu Jin Tu Shu Ji Cheng in the Qing dynasty.Finally,it explores effective ways to preserve and apply charts and pictures documents in an age of information technology,which provokes thoughts of image-reading era.
