Recently,the government and enterprises pay more attention to the preventive protection for their data.As some materials are unsuitable for electronic storage,these materials are usually stored in specific places.However,there are many hazards hidden in archives which are manually managed.As the main storage type of archives,paper documents have the advantages of light weight,low cost and convenient for storage or transport.But the speed of damage will be greatly accelerated if the temperature,humidity,light or other environmental conditions not for storage.In order to solve these problems which caused by environment,and improve the intelligence and information of environmental monitoring about archives.This paper proposes an environment monitoring system based on wireless sensor network.The system will help the manager to know the status of archives in real time.The method of automatic control can greatly improve the stability for the archives;At the same time,the manual control of field or remote will improve the security of the system as the supplement of automatic control.The system is mainly composed of data collector,archive controller and server.The data collector is responsible for monitoring the environment in archive.The archive controller will manage the environmental equipment according to the data,and provided the instructions for manager.The server will support the collection,storage and display,and provides remote interaction for managers.This paper mainly discusses the system of communication,the design of data collector and archive controller.Takes into the difficulty and period of wiring in an archive project,and the process may damage the buildings,the wireless sensor network technology has been studied,and the feature of NB-IOT,LoRa and ZigBee have been compared as prospects.Secondly,to meet the requirements of actual situation and the construction standard for the archive,the communication scheme between the different module are determined.Thirdly,communication protocols such as Modbus,ZigBee and Lora WAN were studied,and the communication protocols between data collector,archives controller and server have been designed which based on environmental data,device state and system configuration date.Finally,the related circuit and software of the hardware part have been designed and tested.In order to meet the requirement of real-time for the data collector which limited by resources,the co-routine of FreeRTOS has been used to reduce the blocking time for the sensors.And a method about sleep/wake have been designed for low power costs.In order to improve the stability for the equipment,this paper brings a new release way for the management of equipment.According to the requirements of update in future,a remote upgrade scheme based on online programming technology have been studied.As the test in a local archive,the experimental results show that the environmental monitoring system designed in this paper has good practicability,which can greatly reduce the impact of archives with a small number of communication cables.
