5G had been officially commercial in china since 2019.The construction of 5G networks has brought many new standards and new technologies.In order to meet the demands for massive connections and ultra-high speeds,frequency bands below 6G will be occupied,and at the same time,high frequency bands such as 26GHz/28GHz/39GHz will also be exploited in the future,which makes it difficult for the original statistical wireless channel model to satisfy the 5G network planning.By studying the ray tracing technology which is one of the deterministic propagation models in the wireless channel,it can effectively adapt to the development of contemporary communication technology.Little work has been performed on electromagnetic wave coverage characteristics of 5G high frequency band,and the network planning and optimization simulation platform for 5G application scenarios needs to be further studied.In this paper,we design a deterministic propagation model simulation platform based on reverse ray tracing technology.The platform is mainly used for the simulation analysis of wireless electromagnetic wave propagation in urban scenes,it can also be used in suburban and rural environments.The platform supports input antennas,project parameters and other data,outputs path loss files to provide support for 5G wireless network planning.The main contributions of this paper are:1.Analysis the requirements of the deterministic propagation model simulation platform for 5G wireless network planning,and design the overall functional structure of the simulation platform.2.Research the realization of ray tracing,select reverse ray tracing to realize ray tracing,and at the same time,design spatial volume partitioning,back culling,visible area,and occlusion judgment to accelerate reverse ray tracing.Research the calculation method of the corresponding loss of various electromagnetic wave propagation modes.3.Design and complete the deterministic propagation model simulation platform,and improve the maintainability of the software by modularizing the simulation platform.4.Perform functional tests on the simulation platform to analyze the influence of straight,reflection and diffraction on network coverage.In addition,the coverage of the maximum of reflections is 1 to 4 and the maximum number of diffraction is 1 to 2 is analyzed.5.Using the simulation platform to analyze the application examples of 700MHz?2.6GHz?3.5GHz and 28GHz frequency band and compare the coverage characteristics of different frequency band.
