With the continuous development of modern communications,optical fiber as the highway for information is playing an increasingly crucial role.Fiber-optical cable faults are accidental events,but they are becoming more frequent as the number of cables increases.Fiber-optical cable safety monitoring technology is an indispensable key technology for fiber-optical cable operation and maintenance.Effective fiber-optical cable safety monitoring technology can greatly reduce operation and maintenance costs and improve operation and maintenance efficiency.Fiber optic sensing technology has been generally used as a monitoring method in various domains because of its advantages such as light volume,convenient installation,passive and anti-interference.There are mature solutions for fiber-optical cable safety monitoring,but mainstream solutions have the disadvantages of high hardware cost and difficulty in modification,and the current application range is relatively small.Therefore,the study of a low-cost and easy-to-install fiber-optical cable safety online monitoring system based on optical fiber sensors that is comparable to the current mainstream solutions has practical application value.This paper has carried out research on the key technologies of fiber-optical cable safety online monitoring based on optical fiber sensors,then designed and realized a highly reliable and highly available fiber-optical cable safety online monitoring system.The main research contents and achievements of this paper are as follows:1.Designed and implemented an optical cable safety monitoring box based on optical fiber sensing technology.Through the temperature and humidity sensor,temperature and humidity can be monitored at the same time as the interruption of the optical cable is monitored.This equipment is lower than mainstream optical cable safety monitoring equipment in terms of hardware cost and installation difficulty.2.Designed and realized the supporting software system of the optical cable safety monitoring box,that is,the optical cable safety online monitoring system.Through the Java programming language,MySQL database,Struts2 framework and other software,the reliability and usability of the monitoring are ensured while realizing complete function and interactive monitoring.3.Optimized the shortcomings of the optical cable safety online monitoring system found in the test in engineering environment.Through the usage of technologies such as Log4j2 log frame,the monitoring sensitivity,scalability and maintainability of the monitoring system are improved,so that the optical cable safety online monitoring system can better meet the design goals of high reliability and high availability.
