Research On Function Design And Characteristics Of Web-based DAW

With the rapid development of network technology,browser programs have the ability to process complex data.In 2012,the W3 C developed Web Audio API for processing audio data on vagabonds,and Web-based DAW software began to emerge.Digital audio workstation programs based on Web show different characteristics from traditional DAW and have some differences in function.They have advantages in implementing certain functions,such as easily accessing a cloud sample library to produce a piece of music;There are also shortcomings in certain functionality,such as speed limitations that ultimately affect the experience when engineering becomes complicated.It is necessary to design online DAW programs as mature as traditional DAW,and further research is needed.This paper discusses the "online DAW." By comparing and analyzing the existing DAW functions,investigating the status quo of research at home and abroad,researching interdisciplinary from the two perspectives of music and programming,we conclude and summarize the points for attention when using each technology in the design function of Web-based DAW.And through the practice of building a web digital audio workstation program,to solve the implementation of the program design of the key issues.
