| In the era of big data and information,outsourcing has become an effective management method for most libraries to solve the problem of insufficient human resources and funds,so as to complete all library services.Most libraries use outsourcing,which can improve the work efficiency of various departments of the library,and make the library staff devote themselves to the core business to meet the development of the library and the needs of readers.However,the excessive dependence of the library on outsourcing has a great impact on the development of the library and a certain impact on the librarians.This paper investigates the basic business of Public Libraries in China,and pointe out that the core business of public libraries include purchasing business,cataloging business,characteristic database construction,reference consultation and literature regeneration,etc.And it has a detailed understanding of the current situation of outsourcing of Public Libraries in China.The The main outsourcing projects focus on procurement,cataloging,circulation,restoration of ancient books,binding of back issues,etc.In terms of outsourcing,this paper states the current situation,theoretical basis,projects,modes and cases of outsourcing.There are great differences in the ways adopted.The main modes of outsourcing include overall outsourcing,partial outsourcing and cooperative outsourcing,and This paper demonstrates and analyzes the three outsourcing modes combined with typical cases.At the same time,this paper expounds the reasons of library outsourcing,which mainly combining the internal factors,social factors and policy factors of the library.Then it discusses the influence of Library Outsourcing on library,librarians and society.Through discussion and analysis,this paper puts forward a four-dimensional evaluation system,in which the outsourcers,librarians,library users and professionals participate in the evaluation,so as to make the library outsourcing go on a healthy development track. |
