Research On TV Traditional Opera Variety Show From The Perspective Of Ritual Communication

The TV drama was born in the 1950 s.In its development history,more than half a century,it has made important contributions to the dissemination of the opera culture.The TV media has the characteristics of “ritual inspissation”,so it emphasizes and condenses the aesthetics,thoughts,beliefs and entertainment function of the cultural.It also promotes the inheritance and development of excellent culture,and further enhances the people's national confidence and cultural confidence,while spreading the excellent traditional culture.TV,as an important communication media in drama culture,will still play an important role in promoting the communication of the drama.With the emerging cultural variety show in the new era,TV traditional Opera Variety Show will usher its new development opportunities,embracing various wonderful original variety shows in drama,such as "Chinese Opera Conference","Inheritance of China" and "Painting China." These opera programs not only have been incorporated new ideas and contemporary content,but also they have exposed many deficiencies.How to make more excellent TV traditional Opera Variety Show in the future and further promote the spread of traditional opera culture,it has always been the main problems for TV workers and drama workers.In the late 1970 s,American scholar James W.Carey proposed the concept of ritual communication.Differing from previous empirical research,ritual communication emphasizes the maintenance of society and history,and the representation of shared beliefs.Its ultimate goal is to integrate society,to rebuild order,and to inherit culture.Based on the research perspective of ritual communication,this paper will analyze the TV traditional Opera Variety Show and try to further enrich the empirical research of ritual communication theory,as well as broaden the research path of TV traditional Opera Variety Show and provide the meaning of practice for the production and dissemination of TV traditional Opera Variety Show in the future.This paper consists of four parts.The first part is to integrate the history of TV drama variety show and the theory of ritual communication.Then it summarizes the evolution of traditional opera from stage ceremony to TV ceremony;the second part analyzes the characteristics and dissemination value about the ritual communication of TV traditional Opera Variety Show;the third part is that interpreting "Chinese Opera Conference" from the perspective of ritual communication;the fourth part points out the shortcomings and countermeasures of the current TV traditional Opera Variety Show in the ritual communication.TV traditional Opera Variety Show,as the most dynamic and the most TV-oriented drama program,not only reflects the form of integration between TV and opera,but also represents the deep integration between TV media ceremony and opera stage ceremony.Through the well-designed ritualized symbols and ritualized communication,the excellent TV traditional Opera Variety Show arouses the peoples' common memory and beliefs about the national opera culture and strengthens the audience's sense of identity and belonging to the Chinese opera culture.It further promotes the spread,inheritance and development of traditional opera.
