From The Perspective Of Agenda Setting Theory,China's Mainstream Media Report On "Rural Revitalization"

From the founding of new China,China has always taken the issue of agriculture,rural areas and farmers as an important agenda.However,with the development of urbanization in China,the gap between urban and rural areas is becoming increasingly obvious,and the dualistic structure between urban and rural areas is gradually prominent.Various social problems such as "empty-nest" and "left-behind children" are emerging in rural areas.At the 19 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC)on oct 18,2017,the report put forward the strategy of "" rural revitalization " ".This is the third leap after the construction of new countryside and beautiful countryside,and it is a systematic sublimation.The focus of national and social attention will inevitably occupy an important position in news media coverage.People's Daily as the representative of the mainstream media have reported on the "rural revitalization",to guide public opinion.This article mainly from the perspective of media agenda setting,mainly adopts the method of content analysis,selection of the People's Daily and the economic daily since October 18,2017 to December 31,2018,published by reports of "rural revitalization" as the research object,from the number reported reports,news pages,manuscript source,theme,genre,the news report title,keywords and frequency in seven aspects,the analysis of the domestic mainstream media is how to deal with the "rural revitalization of this new issue." The purpose of this paper is to explore the two authoritative media reports of "rural revitalization" characteristics and the status quo,investigating the use of the agenda-setting function,found that there were problems,to provide some thinking and reference to other media,to better guide the public to know "rural revitalization",and actively involved in the "rural revitalization"."Rural revitalization" is an important strategy in the new period of our country.It has practical significance and theoretical value to study the new topic of "rural revitalization".
