As a major unexpected public health event,the COVID-19 inevitably requires agenda setting by authoritative media at the level of information dissemination to guide public order and allay individual fears.At the same time,based on their own health and safety needs,the public also relies strongly on the mainstream media for news dissemination during the COVID-19.Therefore,we study the influence of mainstream media agenda setting on public cognition during the COVID-19,analyze the news release of mainstream media on social media platforms through data analysis and text analysis,and explore the effect of their agenda setting at the first level at the macro level;at the same time,sort out the defects and shortcomings of their attribute agenda setting in specific issues,and find the turning point of public cognitive attitude by combining with cases,especially in In addition,we will also analyze the shortcomings and gaps of the agenda setting in specific issues,and find out the turning point of public perception and attitude,especially in critical public opinion events,the communication shortcomings and the communication mechanism that causes the change of public attitude,and then propose the dilemma and improvement of the communication discourse faced by mainstream media in public health emergencies.
