In the context of the increasingly significant trend of economic globalization,financial media have paid more attention to external communication and international communication,accelerating the pace of transnational operations.Foreign professional financial newspapers and periodicals represented by Europe and the United States are relatively mature.According to readers' customary market surveys of senior financial decision makers,the Financial Times is considered to be one of the most important business readings.Exploring the successful practice of FT Chinese website in China is beneficial to a better external communication for domestic media,especially to financial media.This article draws the headlines in front pages of FT Chinese in 2018 as a sample.Supported by Fairclough's discourse analysis level theory,it analyzes the samples from the lingustic level,intertextual level and discourse practical level,analyzes the word count of the article,titles,sentences,etc.,and explores the relevance of the sample in the field of article,communication effect,and discourse strategy,whiling crossly checking the data.In the end,the article tries to draw a conclusion: what discourse strategy can improve the communication effect.On this basis,it is proposed that the enlightenment of the successful practice of FT Chinese to domestic media.In terms of research methods,a combination of quantitative research and qualitative research is put into prcatice to conduct statistical and correlation tests on the data.At the same time,the article analyzes the characteristics and influencing factors of FT Chinese in the construction of discourse.Based on relevant theories,a more comprehensive qualitative analysis of individual cases is conducted to further exploration,which discourse construction strategies to used to improve the communication effect.
