| In March 2016,Premier Li Keqiang put forward the initiative of "Lancang-Mekong Cooperation",which refers to the mutually beneficial practical cooperation among China,Cambodia,Laos,Myanmar,Thailand and Vietnam on the Lancang-Mekong River,it aims to promote good-neighborliness and friendship among the six countries,build the Lancang-Mekong Economic Development Zone and build a life transportation community among Lancang-Mekong countries.In this context,thanks to the support of the National Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund,China Agricultural Film and Television Center began to produce a series of feature films on Lancang-Mekong Action in October 2019,which will be broadcast on the TV stations of the five Lancang-Mekong countries in early 2020,attracting attention from the agricultural departments of China,Cambodia,Laos,Myanmar,Thailand and Vietnam.It is of practical significance to understand the significance of the LMC Action,a TV program targeted at countries along the Lancang-Mekong River,for enhancing mutual understanding and building a "community of shared future for Lancang-Mekong countries".The LMC series of feature films comprehensively and systematically demonstrate the achievements of China's foreign aid work,popularize the agricultural knowledge and ideas of outstanding enterprises and individuals,and try to construct a hopeful concept of "China's aid" and a positive national image in the audience's perception.As a typical dynamic discourse,the three major modes of language,vision and hearing constitute LMC's internal notation system.Based on the theories of Systemic Functional Linguistics,this paper discusses the representational characteristics of modal systems and the ways and approaches of their participation in discourse construction,introduces the research framework of functional grammar of Halliday,visual grammar of Kries and van Loving,and conducts a multimodal discourse analysis on the feature film "Lancang-Mekong Action".In this paper,three parts of language mode,visual mode and auditory mode are studied.Combining the results of quantitative and qualitative analysis,the synergistic relationship among the three modes is discussed,which can be divided into complementary relationship and non-complementary relationship.Based on this,this paper analyzes the meaning construction of three modes,that is,the communication intention of building national image.In terms of finds that the commentary is of great significance in showing the grace of poverty alleviation,showing the friendship of the country,narrowing the relationship between the film and the audience,and deepening the psychological identity.In the auditory mode,the simultaneous sound reflects the aid effect through the intuitive display of real feelings.Dubbing,music and pictures blend with each other,effectively sublimating emotionsBased on the previous research results on the characteristics of meaning expression of different modes,this paper discusses the mechanism of coordination and interaction among language,visual and auditory modes.It is found that there is a complementary relationship between language,visual and auditory modes as a whole,and there is a strengthening and non-strengthening relationship at the same time.The three modes jointly shape China's national image,namely,the political image of responsible democracy,the economic image of mutual assistance and sharing,the social image of civilization and harmony,and the cultural image of tolerance and mutual aid.Finally,the paper tries to put forward several suggestions for the creation of external communication feature films based on the characteristics and shortcomings of LMC,which are:pay attention to flexible story presentation,explore diversified visual elements,strengthen the interaction and collaboration between modes,carry forward the communication keynote that benefits people's lives,and realize the interaction between creators and audiences. |
