With the implementation of the national broadband strategy, access network technology has become a key factor affecting the development of wired broadband networks. As an important part of the national information infrastructure, the wired coaxial network is of great significance to build a new generation of national information infrastructure network, realize the triple play and extend the scope of the modern service industry.HINOC(High performance Network Over Coax),which provides gigabit access rate and has commercial chips and small-scale pilots,is the only coaxial broadband access technology with complete independent intellectual property rights developed for the characteristics of China's wired coaxial network. In order to further improve the broadband access capability of coaxial cables and better meet the needs of home users for network bandwidth and diversified services,10 G coaxial broadband access technology based on HINOC2.0 is researched. It is expected to achieve higher transmission rate, lower latency, and more flexible QoS(Quality of Service)guarantee. The main work of this thesis is to solve the multicast and downstream effective transmission problems in 10 G coaxial broadband access system, propose the solution of the multicast transmission mechanism, design a HM(HINOC Modem)grouping algorithm under the multi-profile transmission mechanism, and set up the corresponding simulation environment to realize the simulation of them.Through the analysis of the simulation results, the feasibility and effectiveness of the multicast transmission mechanism and the HM grouping algorithm proposed in this thesis are verified. The work what mentioned above will provide theoretical and technical support for the design of 10 G coaxial broadband access technology.Firstly, the design requirements of the multicast transmission mechanism in the 10 G coaxial broadband access system are analyzed, and the design of the multicast transmission mechanism is implemented based on the requirements. In order to achieve the design of the multicast transmission mechanism, the multicast frame, the multicast related tables and the channel selection algorithm for the multicast frame are designed. Then based on the above theoretical analysis, the multicast transmission mechanism is simulated. The simulation of the multicast transmission mechanism uses the basic components provided by the MAC layer protocol basic simulation platform to complete the Pd period and MAP period construction,MAP frame generation, multicast packets framing and enqueue and the multicast packets forwarding from HB to each HM.Later, different simulation scenarios are designed, and the multicast function, throughput, average delay and average delay jitter of the system are tested. The simulation results verify the feasibility of the multicast transmission mechanism and the correctness of the simulation work.Subsequently, the design requirements of the HM grouping algorithm under the multi-profile transmission mechanism in 10 G coaxial broadband access system are analyzed, and the research and design of the HM grouping algorithm are completed, including: problem modeling, related algorithm induction and analysis, algorithm design and algorithm time complexity analysis. Finally,HM grouping algorithms are simulated. The design of the simulation environment is mainly divided into the data source module, algorithm implementation module and statistics module. Then the HM grouping algorithms are tested under three influencing factors: data source type, number of profiles and number of HM.Besides, the execution time of each algorithm is counted.According to the test results, the applicable conditions of different algorithms are analyzed. The simulation results verify that the KCoPA(K-means Clustering for Profile Assignment)algorithm proposed in this thesis has multiple advantages over other algorithms and can bring large performance improvements to the multi-profile mechanism.
