Mass Media In The Construction Of The Image Of Women's Gender Politics

From the theoretical viewpoint of gender politics, this paper studies the discrimination of women through the women image construction on mass media in China. The paper thinks that the opinion of women's inferiority is still potentially underneath the people, and mass media is still communicating those opinions of discrimination. Even when the mainstream media report the female character in public area, we can still tell the relation of dominating and being dominated between male and female, this kind of relation is reflecting on the social roles and power structure as well. This paper hopes to uncover the opinions potentially in mass media to help pushing the development of women.
