In 2018,the Ministry of Education officially promulgated the General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition),and the four core literacies of geography were formally proposed.Under the requirements of the new curriculum reform,geography educators began to consider the ways of cultivating and implementing the core literacies of geography.We found that "unit teaching" can cultivate overall core literacy from a holistic perspective,and can overcome the problems of knowledge fragmentation and disconnection between learning and life reality in traditional teaching of high school geography,and is also a teaching mode in line with the concept of curriculum integration.On the basis of reading a lot of literature,this thesis examines the design of geography unit instruction in the context of core literacy at the high school level,and its main findings are as follows:(1)By distributing questionnaires to investigate the current situation of unit teaching design among front-line geography teachers in high schools in two dimensions: awareness and practice,the results show that teachers do not know enough about unit teaching and lack theoretical guidance;they do not recognize the importance of unit teaching and its value;some teachers attach importance to unit teaching but do not implement it frequently.(2)We take constructivism theory,Bloom's cognitive goal classification theory,Gestalt psychology theory and ADDIE model as the theoretical basis,the principle of wholeness,the principle of "teaching-learning-assessment" consistency,the principle of student-centeredness and the principle of hierarchical progression as the basic principles.On the basis of reading the curriculum,integrating the teaching materials and analyzing the learning situation,the design strategies of high school geography unit teaching in the context of core literacy are proposed to provide theoretical support for front-line teachers' unit teaching.(3)The theme of "Atmosphere on Earth" in Compulsory Geography 1 of the 2019 edition of the Humanities Education Edition was selected to demonstrate the teaching design of the core literacy-based geography unit.Through teaching practice,we found that the unit teaching design based on core literacy has significant effects on improving the quality of classroom teaching,cultivating students' core literacy and interest in learning,and enhancing teachers' professionalism,with a view to This is to provide reference teaching ideas for the daily teaching of front-line teachers.
