| In recent years,with the continuous advancement of national policies,study trips have been formally incorporated into the education and teaching plans of primary and middle schools.Primary and middle schools in various cities and regions have actively carried out study trips.Driven by national policy,study trips enter a stage of rapid development.As an open form of education,study trips connect on-campus education with off-campus education,and enable students to learn in a real natural and social environment.The study trip is an effective way to cultivate the geographic core literacy of middle school students.Local geography is an important part of junior middle school geography teaching.Studying local geography through study trips not only makes full use of local geography resources,but also helps students learn geography better in a broad natural and social environment,and intuitively feel the geographical environment of their hometown.This method of learning is conducive to stimulating students’ love for their hometown,and cultivating students’ geographic core literacy.This study starts from the perspective of local geography science.Deeply tap the local education value of study trips.Comprehensively uses research methods such as literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method,statistical analysis method,and field investigation method.Based on the investigation and analysis of the current situation of the junior middle school students’ study trips on local geography in Xi’an,this paper designs study trip plans on local geography.These plans combine with the natural and human geography resources in Xi’an and aim at cultivating the students’geographical core literacy.The specific research conclusions are as follows:(1)Local geographic resources and construction of study and practice education bases in Xi’an:Xi’an,as one of the first pilot cities of primary and secondary school study trips in China,has rich natural resources,long history and culture,and various types of local geographical resources.By the end of 2019,Xi’an has 8 national study and practice education bases(camps)and 27 provincial study and practice education bases(camps).(2)Analysis of the current situation of the study trips on local geography for junior middle school students:According to the results of the student questionnaire survey and teacher interview analysis,students have a high degree of interest in local geography study trips.They want to learn about geography,history,local customs,and so on and master certain practical and survival skills through personal experience.Xi’an has a high popularity of research travel,but the frequency of study trip is relatively low.The study trips on the theme of local geography are relatively few,the design of the plan is poor,the degree of integration with textbook knowledge is low,and the link of summary and evaluation is weak.The development of Xi’an local geography study trips should fully consider students’ cognitive ability and physical and mental development level,strengthen the guidance role of teachers in the process of research trip,and implement the summary and evaluation after the study trips.(3)Design of local geography study trips plan based on core literacy:The design of the study trips plan should be based on the geography curriculum standards,core literacy requirements,Xi’an regional characteristics,and cognitive development level,and take education,practice,security,public welfare and life as the basic principles.The specific program design is carried out by clarifying the study objectives,inspecting the study and practice education bases,designing the activity plan,and selecting the evaluation indicators.In this study,we designed the local geography study trips plan for junior middle school students with the theme of "Exploring the Humanistic Xi’an,Experiencing Guanzhong Style","Walking into the Chinese Dragon Veins,Exploring Mountains and Waters Qinling Mountains",and "Protecting Wild Animals and Building Colorful Nature".The design of the plan is based on the cultivation of junior middle school students’ geographical core literacy.The content of the activities focuses on observation,experience,cooperation and exploration.The course evaluation uses the combination of qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation,which gives full play to the educational value of local geography study trips. |
