As the main way to solve the contradiction between industry and higher education,to solve the problem of unbalanced and insufficient economic development,the integration of production and education has become the focus of vocational education and higher education reform,and has been highly valued by the government,colleges,universities,experts and scholars.The main function of applied undergraduate universities is to cultivate applied talents.The integration of production and education has great value to the cultivation of applied undergraduate talents.However,the subject of applied undergraduate talent cultivation does not have clear understanding of the value of the integration of production and education,and cannot generate sufficient power for the integration of production and education.Therefore,it is necessary to further explore the value of the integration of production and education to the cultivation of applied undergraduate talents.In order to analyze the value and realization path of the integration of production and education on the cultivation of applied undergraduate talents,the historical research method has been taken to sort out the historical changes of the value which cultivate applied undergraduate talents by the integration of production and education in China.The questionnaire survey method and the interview method were used to investigate 1312 students in four applied undergraduate universities and 9 enterprises employees and managers in Guangdong Province.The research shows that value of the integration of production and education to the cultivation of applied undergraduate talents has three stages in China: the stage of valuable germination(1949-1977),the stage of value development(1978-2013)and the stage of value deepening(2014-present).The cultivation of applied undergraduate talents has ontological value and social value,and the realization of value requires institutional guarantee.The integration of production and education includes training content,training methods and training conditions.The educating function of application-oriented undergraduate talent training is to realize the professional ability and personality quality of talents.The survey shows that the training content,training methods and training conditions of the integration of production and education have significant effects on the professional ability and personality quality of applied undergraduate talents.And the training methods show mediating effect to the model.However,some problems still exist,such as the content of the integration of production and education does not match the needs of enterprises and industries,the training methods are inflexible and single,the training conditions are hard to support the development of talents.To sum up,from the perspective of the theory of institutional change,this paper proposes to provide effective supply by government from three aspects: improving the top-level system design,formulating special laws for the integration of production and education and establishing a special department for the integration of production and education.To expand the content of the integration of production and education in two aspects: strengthening a cooperation institution and system of university,and enterprise,raising awareness of corporate responsibility.To enrich the training methods of the integration of production and education in three aspects: improving the teacher training system,changing the system of teachers' salary and strengthening teaching supervision.Improving conditions of the integration of production and education from four aspects: strengthening the protection of property rights of the integration of production and education,improving the enthusiasm of the main body of the integration of production and education,strengthening the students' practice and training system and support for private application undergraduate universities as to realize the value path.
