The great mathematician Minecemus(Menaechmus)once said:geometry is no smooth way.It's obviously not easy to learn geometry well.Geometry knowledge accounts for a high proportion in mathematics,but many students feel a little powerless when learning geometry knowledge.What is the reason for this situation?Does the knowledge compilation of geometry textbooks not match the students 'geometric thinking level,far beyond the students'geometric thinking level?Or are there other reasons that we don't yet know?This is a problem for educators to explore.This discussion uses the literature research method and the investigation research method to probe the status of the geometric thinking level of the third-year students.With van Hill geometric thinking five levels as the theoretical framework,Prepare a test volume and questionnaires with the knowledge of the parallelogram chapter of the third grade of grade 3,Then,120 students from any two classes of grade 3 of a junior high school in Zhangzhou city,Fujian Province were selected as the research subjects of this study,Then,after a unified and impartial test,Recycling the questionnaire and test volume of this study,After finishing the data of the test results,SPSS 22.0 software was then used to analyze the collated data comprehensively,The following study conclusions are obtained:1.At present,the geometric thinking level of junior high school students in China is not very ideal.Students' geometric thinking level is generally lower than expected,lower geometric thinking level students still exist,and fewer students have higher geometric thinking level.2.The geometric thinking level of junior high school students is not affected by gender,but male and female students have different emphasis on geometric thinking mode and advantages.3.At present,there may be some defects in the front-line mathematics teachers 'geometry teaching methods in China,which makes the students' current geometric thinking ability level not be well accepted.4.Chinese junior high school students are interested in geometry knowledge but have a feeling of fear.Based on the above research results,some opinions are proposed for students 'learning geometry and teachers' geometry teaching:1.Students should keep their enthusiasm for geometry learning and improve their interest in geometry knowledge,When students encounter geometric problems,they should go forward in spite of difficulties.2.Chinese mathematics teachers should do their best to cultivate students' geometric thinking level.3.In cooperation with the "double reduction" policy of the Ministry of Education,mathematics teachers should try to help and encourage students' geometry learning within the time of after-school service time.
