With the advancement of the new educational reform and curriculum standards,the development and application of local curriculum resources has become one of the hot issues in the current educational circle.Faced with the neglect and waste of local curriculum resources in rural areas,the available curriculum resources in biology teaching are relatively scarce.Therefore,how to develop local curriculum resources in rural areas,then combine them with junior high school biology textbooks and practice them in teaching activities,so as to improve the students' learning interest and learning efficiency,has always been a problem considered by front-line biology teachers.In this paper,literature research method,questionnaire survey method,field investigation method and case analysis method were adopted,taking D Middle School of Horqin right middle Banner,Xing'an League of Inner Mongolia as the research area.Preliminary field investigation was carried out on the wild plants and cultivated plant resources around the school,and the local wild and cultivated plant resources were summarized.At the same time,20 biology teachers from Mongolian middle school and 200 students from grade 1 of D Middle school were investigated on their understanding,attitude,development and utilization of local curriculum resources.On this basis,the teaching content of the first volume of seventh grade of junior high school biology is analyzed in detail,and the appropriate teaching content is selected as the material for the development and utilization of practical local curriculum resources.In different teaching links,it designs teaching cases and carries out practice.Finally,the effect of practice is evaluated.The findings:Local junior middle school biology teachers have a very positive attitude towards the use of local curriculum resources,but the frequency of application in actual teaching is not high,40% of teachers have hardly used local curriculum resources in the teaching process.The application form is relatively simple,75% of teachers use the form of classroom introduction and interspersed application,only 10% of teachers use the form of homework application;Most teachers have a low level of understanding of local curriculum resources.Only 10% of teachers understand the concept of local curriculum resources very well.Local junior middle school students are optimistic about biology class,74% of students like or very like biology class,but they do not have a deep understanding of the local biological resources,only 12% of students know very well.90% of the students expressed their willingness to participate in biology learning activities.89% of the students believe that the application of local curriculum resources is very helpful or helpful in learning biological knowledge.Integrate the teaching content of 3 units,chapter 10 and Section 13 in the biology textbook of grade 7 of junior middle school with local cultivated plants or wild plants resources and a total of 7 teaching cases are designed mainly from four aspects: classroom introduction,classroom interweaving,review and consolidation of new knowledge,and extracurricular practical activities,respectively: "The Relationship between Organism and Environment","Seed Plants","Characteristics of Organism","Structural Hierarchy of Plants","Algae,Mosses and Ferns","Investigation of Organism in the Surrounding Environment","Blooming and Fruiting" and other related teaching contents.After practical teaching,the number of students who like biology very much increased by 38.5% and the number of students who enjoyed biology learning activities increased by 21%.Furthermore,the number of students who had a good overview of local biological resources increased by 9.5 % and those who had partial understanding increased by7.5%.The number of students who felt that indigenous resources were very helpful in learning biology increased by 9 percent.Reasonable application of local curriculum resources in junior high school biology teaching can not only improve students' interest in biology courses,students' participation in biology learning activities,and promote the learning of biological knowledge,but also cultivates students' feelings of understanding and loving their hometown.At the same time,it can cultivate students' scientific attitude and exploration spirit of seeking truth from facts,let them understand the significance of harmonious development between man and nature,and improve the awareness of environmental protection.The research results can be used as a certain reference for the development and application of native curriculum resources in biology teaching of junior high school in Horqin right middle Banner area.
