Chinese five thousand years of civilization contains very rich art resources,especially the local art resources with their outstanding features. The local are resourcesoccupy very important position in Chinese traditional culture. It is an important part ofChinese traditional culture. With the development of science and technology, manyexcellent traditional culture in our country, especially the local traditional culture resourcesare gradually reduced. We should pay much attention to them. Since the Spring Festivalin2014, our president Xi Jinping proposed what the “Family Rules” were, more and morescholars are concerning about the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture, the importanceof traditional culture is paid more and more widely attention.This research attempts to integrate the dough figurines in Linfen with the art classteaching in Xixian No.4Middle School based on the New curriculum and make good useof the popular dough figurines art. The author compiled school-based book《Focus on thefolk art around you--Dough Figurine》.Then the author made an experimental teachinglasted for a term. The purpose of the research is to compile the school-based courses whichhas distinct features of art classes in Xixian.The dough figurines is an essential reginal resource in Linfen. It embodies thehistory sedimentation of Shanxi pasta culture, which has its unique cultural value, aestheticvalue, educational value and curriculum value. The shapes and the color of the doughfigurines carry the excellent tradition of Chinese which has the strong universality andaffinity. So the introduction of the art forms as the school-based courses and thedevelopment of the art lessons meet the demands of the art curriculum standard from thecultural dimension.School-based curriculum refers to the supplementary course developed by schoolswhich is suitable for teaching course of the school. By applying the school-basedcurriculum into art teaching in the given class lasted for a term, the author have foundsome questions and improved them step by step. So that the students can be familiar withthe art form of the dough figurines. Then they can find the beauty from the folk art aroundthem, love the local traditional arts, study better in their daily life and inherit our valuablenational treasures. Although the courses of the textbooks are not perfect, the futureresearch can make the textbooks of the school-based curriculum improve and popularize inschool and all countries, so as to contribute to the development of art educational resourcesand local folk arts...
