| Teaching materials are not only the core materials of curriculum implementation,but also an important basis for achieving training goals,providing indispensable nutrients for the healthy growth of students.High-quality teaching materials create excellent teachers,and excellent teachers cultivate excellent students.In current education research,we call for the improvement of teachers’ professional literacy and the promotion of teachers’ professional development,but we have forgotten what kind of literacy teachers need to have in the use of teaching materials in order to better convey the curriculum value of teaching materials to students.To realize the educational tasks of teaching materials.As a result,the study of teachers’ teaching material literacy has become an important topic that needs to be solved urgently in the context of the current teaching material reform.The textbooks compiled by the Chinese Department of Primary Schools are organized and compiled by the national education administrative department.Starting from September 1,2017,the new textbooks are commonly used in primary schools across the country.Compared with the previous textbooks,there are certain innovations and breakthroughs in concepts,writing styles,and organizational structures in the textbooks compiled by the Chinese Department of Primary Schools.For teachers who have adapted to traditional teaching materials for a long time,the changes in teaching materials have not only brought them room for development and progress,but also posed serious challenges for them.Some teachers cannot fully adapt to the requirements of new teaching materials,and there are various types of teaching materials in the use of teaching materials.These problems lead to low teaching efficiency and difficulty in improving the quality of classroom teaching.Therefore,elementary school teachers must keep up with the pace of the teaching material reform.Only by actively improving their own teaching materials can they consciously transform the fundamental tasks of the teaching materials into their own educational awareness and better fulfill the teaching missions of the times.Based on the above-mentioned thinking,this research chose Chinese teachers in elementary schools in X County as the research object and analyzed the teachers’ textbook literacy in four aspects,which are textbook conception,textbook comprehension,textbook application and textbook evaluation by using the methods of questionnaire surveys,interviews,classroom observations,etc.And conducted a realistic inspection of the teaching material quality of several representative elementary school Chinese teachers in X County.Through investigation and analysis,it is found that primary school Chinese teachers have four main kinds of problems in textbook quality: "Lack of cognition of textbooks,superficial understanding of textbooks,abandonment of textbooks to the bottom,and lack of reflection on textbook evaluation".The reasons leading to the quality of teaching materials for primary school Chinese teachers are not only internal reasons such as teachers’ own curriculum view,education view,lack of theoretical knowledge,etc,but also external reasons such as the lack of school teaching,research and reform atmosphere,and the training of teachers’ using ability is difficult to sustain.To improve the quality of teaching materials of primary school Chinese teachers,schools and teachers need to work together.On the one hand,teachers must deepen curriculum understanding,focus on knowledge accumulation and reflection on teaching materials,deepen the study of teaching materials based on the core literacy of students,and strengthen the cultivation of teaching materials;on the other hand,schools should create the atmosphere for textbook research,incorporate training on the use of textbooks into teacher evaluations,and implement targeted cultivation of textbook literacy.Only in this way can the new concepts and changes of the new teaching materials be truly implemented in educational practice,and the quality of classroom teaching can be further improved. |
