Chinese teaching material, as a significant part of the origin of Chinese course, is bearing the key contents of Chinese teaching and taking on the important task of the fulfillment of educational target and the development of Chinese teaching functions. As members of Chinese teaching staff, we should improve our self-qualifications and better master the teaching material to adapt the demands of time development. So, it is necessary to make the further study and discussion on the Chinese teaching material.The thesis is written according to the theory of "Chinese Course Standard" and combining the two-year teaching practical experiences of Chinese Experimental Course (Grade 7) published by People's Educational Publishing House. As the author of the thesis, I consider the advantages of experimental teaching material lies in : the teaching material embodies the unity of humanism and instrumentalism written in course standard, which is one of the foci on the long-existent dispute about the subject quality in the Chinese teaching circle; the designs of the teaching material on its unit hint, pre-class preparation and after-class exercises enhance the cultivation of the ability of comprehensive understanding on the articles by the students; by arranging the training of "writing-oral communication-comprehensive learning", the teaching material shows its emphasis on the cultivation of the students' Chinese practical ability; the newly-added works of the modern and contemporary writers make the teaching material more fashionable; the newly-added masterpiece guide reading and ancient poetry recitation in the teaching material meet the reading demand of students in different levels; and the teaching material is made less difficult to accord with the compulsory education.Some deficiencies in the experimental teaching material are also found in the teaching practice:(1)The articles selected are not so typical, so it is hard to accomplish the important task of Chinese teaching;(2)The arrangement sequence of selected articles is not suitable with students'mental development, so it goes against the inspiration of students' interest;(3)The Chinese training requirement is not so material and definite, so it is hard to reach the purpose of handling the knowledge and turning it into skills;(4)The teaching content lacks flexibility, so it fails to provide teachers and students the chances to choose and the space to develop;(5)The writing teaching demand is not so clear, so it hinders the improvement of the writing skills of the students;(6)The objective of learning guidance is not specific, which makes the students unable to master the key points and difficult points of the articles well and truly;(7)The homework system is so easily collocated that it is hard to instruct the students to understand and percept the articles comprehensively;(8)The loose arrangement of classical Chinese makes it hard for students to master the knowledge of classical Chinese systemically.On such a basic, this thesis makes the following assumptions of constructing the ideal Chinese teaching material in practice.(l)Selecting typical articles to embody the characteristics of teaching in mother tongue;(2)The contents of the teaching material should be instructive so as to meet the demand of students in different levels;(3)Arranging the sequence of the texts scientifically with the fruits of psychology study;(4)Paying attention to the instruction of learning methods and working out scientific instruction for learning and homework system;(5)Making the writing requirement more specific and arranging the writing training reasonably;(6)Centralizing the arrangement of classical Chinese texts.The above assumptions aim at making the teaching material more scientific and practical so as to become a real text book for students; at the meantime, realizing the accordance between teaching material edition and teaching practice so as to make it a real teaching book for teachers.
