Junior high school students are in the important period of constructing life values.Mentally immature and in the "rebellious stage" they are prone to improper behavior.In order to promote their healthy growth,teachers and schools should take reasonable ways of punishment to correct students' wrongdoings in time,and teach them to learn to self-correct and gradually move towards self-discipline.However,in the educational environment with the popularity of "appreciation education",the implementation and development of educational punishment are difficult.Although the newly issued "rules of educational punishment for primary and secondary schools" to correct its name and give guidance,but the complexity of the process of education resulting in the implementation of punishment is still blank.Therefore,it is still of great significance to further explore the problem of regulating teachers and schools' rational use of punishment methods.Junior high school students in Lianjiang L Middle School are the main objects of the study.Through literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and other methods,we understand the current situation of junior high school educational punishment,and analyze the existing problems and reasons.Finally,in order to promote teachers and schools to exercise educational punishment correctly and enhance the educational effect of punishment,this paper puts forward some practical suggestions for educational administrators to learn from.Through questionnaire and interview,this paper investigated the teachers,students and administrators of L Middle School in Lianjiang City,and found that there are improper forms of punishment such as corporal punishment,expropriation punishment and property punishment in the implementation of educational punishment in junior middle school.Some teachers can not hold the uniform punishment scale,and even abuse punishment,infringe the legitimate rights and interests of students,resulting in the loss of education of punishment;And the absence of school supervision.Tracing back to the source,we find that there are three main reasons for the problems: one of the reasons is that the school does not publicize the school rules and regulations,which leads to the low recognition of punishment by students and parents;The second reason is that teachers lack the knowledge training of education laws and regulations and the wisdom of punishment.The third reason is the lack of specific operational guidance and ineffective supervision of educational punishment in schools,which leads to the abuse or abandonment of educational punishment.According to the results of the investigation,this paper proposes the following measures to promote the rational development of educational punishment in junior high schools: First,schools should try their best to play the educational role of punishment from many aspects,such as home school and flexible implementation of school rules;Secondly,teachers should abide by the principle of punishment and pursue the artistry of punishment so as to give full play to the educational function of punishment.Finally,schools should strengthen the construction of teachers' ethics,improve the supervision mechanism of educational punishment and provide concrete and feasible guidelines for the operation of punishment,and smooth the channels of relief and appeal.It is hoped that the educational punishment can give full play to the educational effect and promote the healthy growth of junior high school students.
