Sequence is the focus and difficulty of high school mathematics.It is often combined with the knowledge of function,derivative,plane geometry and so on;Sequence is also a bridge connecting middle school mathematics and college mathematics.For example,the combination of sequence and limit is a common content in mathematical analysis.In addition,the knowledge of series will be used in installment loans,stacking problems and company financial statistics in life.How to learn and flexibly apply the series is a problem worthy of attention.The mathematics curriculum standard of senior high school(2017edition,2020 Revision)points out that students should be prepared to adapt to social life and strive to develop core literacy.Mathematical modeling literacy brings the distance between mathematical theory and practice,which is conducive to improving practical ability.Under the thought of mathematical modeling,this paper adopts the methods of investigation and experimental research.Firstly,through the questionnaire survey of all students in grade two and the interview with teachers in grade two,this paper understands the learning status of students' sequence knowledge and the combination of mathematical modeling thought and sequence teaching.According to the survey results,the following teaching principles are designed: suitability principle,subjectivity principle,inspiration guiding principle and interest principle,Then the teaching design of the number series part is formulated,the teaching design is put into practice by using the control experiment method,and the experimental effect is compared and analyzed by the method of test paper.This paper mainly studies the following problems:(1)Does the integration of mathematical modeling into sequence teaching improve the learning effect of students?(2)Does the combination of mathematical modeling thought and sequence teaching help to improve students' interest in learning?Through practical research and result analysis,the following research conclusions are drawn:(1)By integrating the idea of mathematical modeling into the teaching of sequence,the students' learning achievement of sequence is improved;(2)The idea of mathematical modeling is integrated into the number series teaching,which stimulates students' interest and improves students' sense of classroom participation.To sum up,the combination of mathematical modeling thought and mathematical teaching is conducive to students' learning.The teaching design of this paper can be used for reference for middle school teaching.
