| The advancement of the society leads to the revolution in education.Nowadays,with the development of the era of science and technology,mathematics education pays more and more attention to cultivating students’ awareness of mathematical application.And the demand for talents is more and more emphasized on the ability of mathematical application.Mathematical modeling is an effective way to stimulate students’ ability of mathematical application,innovation and practice.From being proposed in Ordinary Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(experiment)2003 to being revised in Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(revision)2017,the requirement of cultivating students’ mathematical modeling ability is getting much more formal in senior middle school,and mathematical modeling ability has become one of the six key elements of mathematics.However,the implementation of mathematical modeling teaching in senior high school is not satisfactory.With the successful experience of Beijing and Shanghai,though,there are also many areas with weak educational resources that do not meet the requirements of curriculum standards for mathematical modeling teaching.It is impossible to cultivate students’ modeling ability in senior high school.So the purpose of this paper is how to practice mathematical modeling teaching in my school.In the introduction part,this paper introduces the background of the research and the present situation of mathematical modeling at home and abroad.Then it determines the significance,problems and methods of the research.Through looking through the materials in the second chapter,the related concepts of mathematical modeling are defined,and the theoretical basis for supporting them is found.The third chapter mainly investigates the students’ and teachers’ modeling ability in the senior high school.Through the accumulation of the usual teaching data,the students’ questionnaire survey and the interview with teachers,the author finds out the present situation of the mathematical modeling teaching in senior high school.Due to the lack of special teaching materials for modeling teaching,making a detailed analysis of the mathematics teaching materials in senior high school,collating the relevant modeling ideas and mathematical models of each module,summarizing the typical applied problems in senior high school,and closely combining the practical problems with the mathematics knowledge,the author prepares sufficient teaching contents for the modeling teaching.Finally,the mathematical modeling teaching is integrated into the daily teaching by synthesizing the whole information of the school.According to the actual situation,the design and implementation strategy of "student-centered" modeling teaching design is aimed at arousing students’ interest in learning mathematics,strengthening their consciousness ofmathematical application,cultivating and developing students’ ability of modeling,and carrying out practical experience in teaching. |
