Mechanics belongs to one of the basic theoretical systems of physics,and it occupies a considerable proportion in junior physics.As we know,the mechanics knowledge is systematic and complex,and the mechanics concept is abstract but widely used.It requires both student's high teaching ability and teacher's professional teaching ability.Therefore there are a lot of problems related to mechanics in junior physics.By analyzing typical cases of difficult problems and conducting questionnaires to teachers and students,the causes of the formation of difficult mechanics problems are summarized.Meanwhile the feasible strategies and suggestions for mechanics teaching are provided.The questionnaire survey about the causes of the difficult problems of mechanics among the Fuling No.14 middle School students and physics teachers is conducted.The questionnaire refers to the questionnaire in Yu Zongyuan's master's dissertation and is modified according to the characteristics of students in the second grade.The objects of the questionnaire are students and teachers respectively,aiming at analyzing the causes of difficult problems in mechanics from different perspectives of students and teachers.Finally the questionnaire data are statistically analyzed by EXCEL.On the one hand,the survey results of students and teachers are compared;on the other hand,the causes of difficult mechanical problems are obtained through questionnaire survey results.After summarizing the difficult problems in mechanics teaching,this study selected three most typical problems for analysis.They are related to friction,pressure,buoyancy and lever pulleys.The problem of friction is discussed in four aspects: the cause of friction,the judgment of the friction direction,the influencing factors of the magnitude of friction,and the synthesis of motion and friction.The pressure and buoyancy are discussed in five aspects: the difference between liquid pressure and liquid gravity;the pressure change caused by container inversion and solid on the table top;pressure and pressure changes caused by immersion of an object into a liquid;the liquid level change caused by fishing objects;and the coordinate image change corresponding to the problem of adding water.For lever and pulley,two difficult problems are discussed: the least force of lever,the synthesis of lever and pulley.Both students' thinking way and teachers' teaching strategies are discussed in the study.This paper summarizes the reasons why students feel difficulty in mechanics and puts forward the solutions.From the results of the questionnaire survey,the reasons for the difficult mechanics problems in junior high school can be summarized as follows: the difficulties caused by the physics knowledge,the students' lack of interest in physics and difficulty in establishing ability of logical thinking,the teachers' lack of sufficient consideration of students' learning conditions and the improper choice of teaching methods.The solutions to the causes of difficult problems are put forward: strengthening the guidance of students,cultivating students' good study habits and improving teachers' professional level.Although the research is not comprehensive,and there are many shortcomings and regrets in this study.In order to put forward effective suggestions for the teaching of difficult problems of mechanics in junior high school,I look forward to continuous learning and exploration in the future teaching.
