The upward development of science is a testament of the progress of the country,and the spirit of science is a key factor in development.Elementary school science textbooks are important texts for elementary school students to learn science,are the important vehicles of scientific knowledge dissemination,and play an important role in the cultivation of scientific spirit.The writing of science textbooks has a direct impact on the cultivation of scientific spirit and guides the direction of science education.The first study is based on a large number of first-hand science textbook texts and provides a detailed overview and analysis of the cultivation of scientific spirit in elementary school science textbooks after the founding of New China.The historical evolution of the cultivation of scientific spirit in China's science textbooks from the founding of New China to the reform and opening up of China,from the cultivation of the spirit of truth-seeking and truth-seeking at the cognitive level in China's elementary school science textbooks at the beginning of the founding of New China to the cultivation of the psychological level of scientific spirit,such as the spirit of suffering,the spirit of dedication,and the humanistic spirit at the value level after the reform and opening up of China,to the cultivation of innovation at the functional level today.The cultivation of the spirit of innovation at the functional level.During this time,the connotation of science spirit in elementary school science textbooks has been expanded and the ways of cultivating science spirit have been improved.The second study is about the content,characteristics,and comparison of the cultivation of scientific spirit in China.The four characteristics of science spirit are scientifically answered,and the content of science spirit cultivation in elementary school science textbooks from the cognitive level,functional level,value level,and psychological level are elaborated from four aspects since the founding of New China,and the characteristics of science spirit cultivation are summarized,and the science spirit cultivation in elementary school science textbooks in China and the United States are compared,and the The focus and shortcomings of our elementary science textbooks are analyzed.The comparison found that there are still obvious differences between China and the United States in terms of textbook writing philosophy,content selection and preparation,column design,and language presentation.In terms of textbook writing philosophy,China focuses on cultivating the spirit of truth-seeking,while the cultivation of the spirit of innovation is not enough.In terms of content selection,China focuses on cultivating students' humanistic spirit,the spirit of hardship and dedication,while the United States focuses on cultivating students' spirit of innovation and exploration.The differences between China and the United States in the cultivation of scientific spirit in elementary school science textbooks can be found in both horizontal and vertical aspects of content preparation.In terms of column design,both China and the United States focus on the cultivation of students' spirit of collaboration,truth-seeking,and innovation,but the United States' column design better reflects the diversity of science spirit cultivation.In terms of language presentation,China focuses on cultivating students' spirit of truth-seeking and dedication,as well as the spirit of hardship.The above study can provide feasible suggestions on how to cultivate the spirit of science in future elementary school science textbooks in China from four aspects: the level of science spirit cultivation,the adherence to the philosophy of textbook writing,the selection of content,and the content arrangement and column design.
