With the rising market demand of research and study travel education,various related products have appeared in the travel market of primary and secondary schools,and the new education model of "tourism+education"has gradually arisen in the tourism industry,research travel has become a new type of education model with good prospects for development.Travel is the way,research is the way,education is the goal.However,at present,there is a general problem in the research and study travel market that "only study but not travel" or "only travel but not study",and the degree and quality of the combination of the two,to a great extent,it depends on the indispensable part of the educational journey of research travel——The tutor of research,whose work performance is an important index to measure the educational quality of research travel.And the work performance of the research tutor is directly related to his mental model,which affects the quality of the research travel education products.If we want to improve the quality of research travel education,we should fundamentally shape the growth-type mental model of research tutors so as to improve their work performance.Therefore,this research from the perspective of the influence of growth-type mental model of study tutor on work performance can provide new ideas for carrying out and improving the research work related to study travel education in the new situation.By exploring the influence of the stable and hidden"growth-type mental model"on work performance,this paper aims to cultivate and attract excellent research tutors for tourism enterprises,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to realize the sustainable development of research and study travel education.This study is based on cognitive psychology and other related theories,using empirical research methods.First of all,this paper reviews the progress of the research on mental model and job performance theory,and summarizes the shortcomings of the existing research results based on the characteristics of research tutors,with the help of the conceptual connotation of the growth-type mental model of the research tutor and the construction of the model of the work performance theory,this paper puts forward the theoretical hypothesis of the related research,to explore the correlation and differentiation among the structural dimensions of Mentor’s Growth Mental Model,and to analyze the influence of Mentor’s growth mental model on job performance.The main conclusions of this study are:(1)there are three structural dimensions in the growth-oriented mental model of Research Tutor:Cumulative cognitive structure,flexible thinking style and altruistic behavior intention,the growth mind-set of the research advisor is most effective when the three work together(2)the growth mental model of research tutor has significant positive effect on job performance.From the perspective of task performance,research tutors with growth mental model have more positive and optimistic working attitude,and are more willing to help colleagues,which will have a positive effect on task performance From the perspective of relationship performance,the research tutor with growth mental model has more harmonious interpersonal relationship,which shows that the growth mental model of research tutor has a positive role in increasing benign interpersonal relationship.In the end,the paper puts forward the direction and suggestion to improve the work performance of research tutor.
