| Tutors are the first person responsible for postgraduate training.Their sense of responsibility and academic level directly affect the quality of postgraduate training.Tutor assessment is one of the important means to ensure the quality of tutors.Whether the tutor assessment system is scientific and reasonable directly affects the quality of tutor assessment work.Based on the theory of developmental teacher evaluation,this study uses four methods:literature analysis,survey research,text analysis and case study to sort out and analyze the policy evolution of tutors since the restoration of graduate education in China.The text of the postgraduate tutor assessment system of 12 universities in Guangxi is comparatively analyzed.Based on the case study of University A,the problems existing in the construction of the postgraduate tutor assessment system of Guangxi universities and their improvement strategies are summarized.Studies have shown that the evaluation system for master’s tutors in universities in Guangxi has commonalities in formulating evaluation management methods,adhering to the orientation of morality and cultivating people,and building reward and punishment mechanisms,but there are certain differences in evaluation methods,evaluation subjects,evaluation indicators,reform measures,etc..The study found that Guangxi colleges and universities master supervisor evaluation system has problems such as imperfect overall construction of the evaluation system,most of the supervisor evaluation work is only a formality,and the evaluation adopts qualitative indicators and lacks quantitative indicators.The reason is that the evaluation work of graduate tutors in Guangxi universities started late,and the slow development has led to the lack of integrity of the system.Most colleges and universities have failed to set the evaluation plan in line with the actual situation of the school,and the lack of uniform standards makes the indicator design unreasonable and the complexity of the evaluation has also increased the difficulty of the assessment work.Therefore,it believes that to solve related problems,one must improve the assessment system of graduate tutors,and the other must improve the assessment model of graduate tutors.An objective and fair assessment system of graduate tutors is an important guarantee mechanism for the sustainable development of tutor echelon..The innovation of this study lies in: it is the first time systematically and comprehensively combs the graduate tutor assessment system in Guangxi universities,compares its related assessment system contents,finds out its commonness and differences,as well as the problems and shortcomings of the assessment system,and puts forward the improvement countermeasures.The shortcomings of this study are: firstly,some text analysis data is lacking;secondly,the questionnaire analysis is relatively weak.In the next step,the author will continue to pay attention to the latest information about the reform of the tutor assessment system,in order to make timely and effective supplement to the results of this study,and strive to further expand the research field. |
