With the continuous development of Chinese craze and the continuous promotion of Chinese international education by the country,teaching Chinese as a foreign language has become an emerging topic for joint research and discussion by Chinese and foreign language teachers.The game teaching method has attracted more and more attention from the academic circle due to its unique fun,interactive and competitive features,and has also been more and more used in classroom teaching.Based on the author's one-year teaching experience in the United Kingdom,this article intends to conduct research on the application of game teaching methods in non-MEP Confucius classrooms in the United Kingdom.The introduction of the first chapter of this article introduces the background,purpose and significance of the topic,research methods,innovations,etc.,and briefly sorts out the relevant definition and development context of the game teaching method.The second chapter is a detailed introduction to the overall situation of non-MEP schools in the UK and the basic Chinese teaching situation and students' Chinese proficiency in the Carmel College non-MEP middle school Confucius Classroom taught by the author.The third chapter discusses the necessity and feasibility of applying the game teaching method in the English teaching of Chinese as a foreign language on the basis of the second chapter.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the actual case of the game teaching method,explains the detailed operation steps,cite the actual application cases and simple effect feedback.The fifth chapter analyzes and summarizes the application effect of the game teaching method in the actual classroom based on the students' participation,the results of the in-class test and the observation feedback of the local teachers.Reflect on the deficiencies and limitations and put forward relevant suggestions for improvement.The sixth chapter summarizes the full text,points out the deficiencies of this article,and hopes to correct it.The full text is based on the author's one-year Chinese teaching practice in the Confucius Classroom in non-MEP middle schools in the UK,combined with the investigation and analysis of Chinese teachers in English,British teachers and British students,affirmed the use of game teaching method in the foreign Chinese classroom in non-MEP middle schools in the UK The positive effect of the game,but also found the shortcomings in the design and application of Chinese teaching games.Based on this,the author puts forward some suggestions and methods for modification through specific case analysis and comparison of effects,hoping to provide reference and help for teachers of Chinese as a foreign language in other non-MEP middle school Confucius classrooms.
