With in-depth exchange between China and Republic of Korea(ROK)in economy,politics and culture,Chinese language is gradually emphasized by Ministry of Education,ROK,and a lot of middle schools begin to offer Chinese language course.In the development of Chinese language teaching in ROK middle schools,popularization of Chinese language among junior middles school students and their competence are far lower than that of English due to shortage of time,fund and faculty,and most of junior middle schools are only beginners in terms of Chinese language.Hence,how Chinese language teachers can improve students' learning interest and train students' capability of listening,speaking,reading and writing with effective teaching methods is an issue that Chinese language teachers must deal with in the long run.Based on 11 months' experience in Chinese language teaching in Songchon Middle School,Daejeon,ROK,and with game teaching method as the research focus,this article studies the application of game teaching method in the classrooms of Korean middle school.Chapter 1,as the core of this article,sets out with the questionnaire for Korean students and teachers,analyzes the attitude between teachers and students towards game teaching method,describes existing issues.Chapter 2,demonstrates the necessity and feasibility for implementing game teaching method among Chinese language learners in middle schools in combination with the theory of game teaching method.Chapter 3 summarizes the principle for implementing game teaching method based on previous studies and the author's practice experience.Through giving examples of game teaching in Chinese language classroom,analyzing its advantages and makes appropriate reflections.Finally,the article demonstrates adverse factors for the development of game teaching method from the perspective of students,teachers and schools,and puts forward improvement recommendations.This article aims to offer teaching experience and game modes for Chinese language teaching to Chinese language teachers in other Korean middle schools and make proper contribution to the application and research of game teaching method in middle schools.
