As China's comprehensive national strength rises and its international status ascends,the number of people who have the willing to study Chinese is also on the rise in the world.Therefore,the study of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is also flourishing.As a result,Chinese language has gradually come into the international spotlight and even entered the local national educational system in UK,which makes the study of teaching Chinese as a foreign language begin to focus on how to make Chinese teaching more in line with the characteristics and needs of learners.Classroom games began to be used as a set of effective teaching methods aimed on younger aged learners.It is not only effective and feasible,buy also able to inspire students' motivation and interest in language learning,which makes students feel more positive.What's more,it guarantees teachers to get feedback on time.However,most of the popular Chinese classroom games are transferred from primary Chinese classroom games and English classroom games at present.When it comes to certain circumstances,it would be very stiff to use in Chinese language learning.Therefore,exploiting a set of targeted classroom game in Chinese classroom is very important.The author worked as a volunteer Chinese teacher at Middleton Park Primary School of The Confucius Institute of the University of Aberdeen in UK from 2016.9-2017.7.From the observation of the local class and the experience of teaching Chinese,I tried to put forward a set of classroom game in Chinese class called detective game,in allusion to the characteristics of teenage learners and the requirements of local educational system.Furthermore,It is a trial to combine Chinese language teaching with English education system and a trial of localization of Chinese language teaching.This paper discusses the compatibility of detective games in English primary and middle school classrooms from the perspective of educational psychology.By observing and describing the practical effects of using detective games assist Chinese language teaching,distributing questionnaire and analyzing questionnaire data,I tried to instigate the feasibility of using detective game in primary and secondary Chinese classrooms in UK.In addition,trying to summarize possible problems which may occur in practical operation,and putting forward corresponding strategies to provide references for detective game to appear in future Chinese classes.
